Becoming a Disciple

After hearing Jorge's words, Connor's eyes flashed with a trace of surprise.

Subconsciously, he looked down at the pill in his hand and then asked with a puzzled expression, "Is this pill really so miraculous?"

"There are plenty of incredible things in this world, you just don't know about them!" Jorge replied calmly.

After a moment of hesitation, Connor spoke in a deep voice, "Are you sure that taking this pill will make me stronger?"

"It's not about making you stronger, but greatly improving your physical fitness," corrected Jorge.

"How do I know if what you're saying is true? What if this is a poisonous pill and you're trying to deceive me?" Connor asked cautiously.

"Why would I deceive you?" the old man responded calmly.

"You have no reason to deceive me, but there are many people who want to kill me. I don't know who is trustworthy and who isn't..." Connor looked at the pill in his hand, his expression hesitant.
