How sad that Phobos wasn't there for the birth. I can totally understand her reluctance to include him though. If the baby is a girl or takes after her she would need to protect the child from Phobos and his toxic pack. Phobos has effectively used their mating bond as a torture device. Phobos gives Theia crumbs of affection - just enough to make her want to please him and do what he says, then he follows with copious amounts of neglect and cruelty. Even if some of that cruelty is unintentional the result is the same. Theia deserves peace and someone who is actually able to appreciate her for who she is. She shouldn't have to repress large parts of herself to please Phobos or to be accepted by his pack and she has a responsibility as a parent to protect their child from the same.
ManâŚim so glad I didnt read all the chapters. She didnât go back to Phobos after finding out she was pregnant or after she delivered. He loved her unconditionally when she couldnât get pregnant and then she does and she kept it from him? I donât like cheating, impulsive relationships. I like bold, fierce, loyal couples who will move heaven and earth for their loved one, but thatâs just me. Ugh. So disappointed in this book, but hopefully it gets better for everyone else.
