Chen Feng

Within a room, a youth sat cross-legged as he absorbed the Magic Stone in his hand using the path that the "Magic Devouring Ancient Technique" provided.

Suddenly, a dense magical energy flowed through his meridians like an ocean's water filling the river. It is overflowing, and his meridians were practically trembling as it was being flowed by magical energy. Immediately, they were swallowed by his tornado-like magic space where a doll was currently floating.

Magical energy continuously flow through his meridians and his magic space swallowed like a divine python, as it filled his magic space. Before long, the concentrated and dense magical energy within the Magic Stone depleted as it dimmed down.

Meanwhile, the magical energy which turned into internal magic power were overflowing, and so, the doll at the center absorbed some of them, then stored it within its space.

Five days after he met Gu Yi, he immediately cultivated in his room using the miraculous "Magic Devouring Ancient Technique" which absorbed the heavens and earth magical energy within the surrounding as well as within the Magic Stones causing his cultivation to rise and broke through to mid-stage Puppet Master Rank. This caused Luo Xiong to be astonished.

Within these few days, he also tried to inscribe mystical patterns on a puppet, and the result was that his training time also extended. Although he still felt dizzy after the training, Luo Xiong felt satisfied with his progress.

Some of the mistakes that he did during the training were also pointed out by Gu Yi, so, the result of his training in these five days was just like two weeks when he normally trained.

Her body is trembling, with her hand an iron sword as she pointed the tip of this sword at the direction of Chen Feng. Naturally, this is Luo Xiong's younger sister and the second miss of Luo Clan, Luo Yan.

As Luo Xiong arrived along the trembling servant, Chen Feng glanced at the latter for a while then turned his gaze back into the figure of Luo Yan.

His eyes were full of lust, as he stared at her greedily, slowly roaming his gaze from head to toe. Then, he nodded in satisfaction just having seen Luo Yan in a cloth. He really wondered how beautiful she is if she was naked. This thought caused Chen Feng feel his lower region to feel hot.

When Luo Xiong saw that Chen Feng ignored him after a short moment of glance, he frowned but didn't say anything as he emotionlessly walked towards the direction of Luo Yan.

Luo heard the footsteps, as she glanced at Luo Xiong's direction with—instead of excitement—a worried expression could be seen. "Brother why did you come here? I could handle my problem so please you don't have to protect me anymore."

She said this, because, she knew that Luo Xiong's current cultivation is truly mediocre so if he goes against Chen Feng, she was worried that he would get beaten up again. After her brother was repeatedly beaten up by Chen Feng in the past, she swore in herself that she wouldn't let her elder brother to be harmed again.

Luo Xiong knew what his younger sister was thinking. But he didn't have any choice. After all, he was just currently a practitioner of Puppet Master Rank while his father had attained an extremely high level of cultivation. Therefore, he couldn't go against him. So he didn't mind being beaten up by Chen Feng rather than being killed by his father.

It is really mysterious because there is a space inside it. One could store an item inside, so one wouldn't worry about the heaviness of the item. Hearing the mockery of Chen Feng and his lackeys, he didn't get discouraged as a hint of murderous intent secretly flashed in his eyes in the blink of an eye before a slight sneer began to appear on his face, 'I should use this opportunity to test how strong the improved mystical patterns in my puppet."

Without a further ado, he moved his finger in a graceful manner as the metal puppet moved forward. It rushed towards Chen Feng, causing the ground to slightly tremble. Small web-like cracks appeared to the locations where the metal puppet stepped.

As the metal puppet domineeringly rushed forward, Luo Xiong's right hand turned downward causing the metal puppet to bent its body, then it put its strength on its legs, before it jumped towards Chen Feng and punched forward.

Seeing the metal puppet's wave-like punch as it rushed towards him, Chen Feng didn't panic as he calmly rubbed his Interspatial Ring as a metal puppet also appeared in front of him. The only thing that is different from Luo Xiong's metal puppet was a circle which is red in color on its chest and was filled with mystical patterns.

Chen Feng's metal puppet quickly crossed its hands as it bent slightly, then also rushed towards Luo Xiong's metal puppet.

A few moments of time, Luo Xiong's metal puppet's punch collided with the opponent puppet causing a sound of metal colliding with each other to emerge. Luo Xiong's metal puppet's fist had hit the crossed arm of the opponent puppet causing the latter to tremble slightly.

At this moment, the Luo puppet quickly retracted its hand but the Chen puppet quickly took this opportunity to grasp the former puppet's wrist as it kicked forward.

Luo Xiong saw this as he calmly formed a various hand seals as he shouted, "Wind Speed Mystical Pattern, activate!"

Suddenly, a certain mystical pattern shone brightly on Luo Xiong's metal puppet as a terrifying wind suddenly emerge out of nowhere. It wrapped on Luo Xiong's metal puppet as it quickly retreated causing Chen Feng to caught of guard.

'How is this possible? How could the Wind Speed Mystical Pattern has a power like this!?' For the first time, Chen Feng's expression suddenly change as he thought with a doubtful expression. After all, although the Wind Speed Mystical Pattern was useful to boost a puppet's speed, it shouldn't be like this where it could escape when its wrist was grasped.

Although he was quite shock of what happened, he immediately calmed down and thought that Luo Xiong just became lucky because he had his guard down.

Meanwhile, Luo Xiong was not surprised when he saw this. What happened earlier isn't because of luck but the mystical pattern itself. After Gu Yi had improvised the mystical patterns in his metal puppet, naturally, its power would also improve. So, he didn't feel any luck.

However, although the mystical patterns had improved, his control over the puppet was below to that of Chen Feng's. Which is why Chen Feng used the opportunity of his retreating puppet to grasp his puppet's wrist. It seems like needed to take this battle seriously.

Having thought of this, Luo Xiong's metal puppet retreated a few steps while the other party chased. Then, it immediately stop retreating after stepping back a few meters. Instead, Luo Xiong's hand seals immediately changed as another mystical pattern shone on his metal puppet.

"Inferno Spear, activate!" Luo Xiong shouted out, as a red-fire spear immediately appeared on the puppet's hand which caused Luo Xiong's internal magic power to greatly decrease. This Inferno Spear on the metal puppet's was different to ordinary Inferno Spear as the fire wrapping around the spear was really raging like infernal hell.

Then, Luo Xiong's metal puppet rushed forward towards the direction of the opponent puppet. Luo Xiong's fingers danced in the air, as his metal puppet thrust the spear forward in a terrifying speed.

When Chen Feng saw this, his expression turned solemn as he formed a hand seals for the first as he shouted out, "Great Water Shield, activate!"

Suddenly, the hands of Chen Feng's metal puppet turned forward as it opened its palms before a mystical pattern shone dazzlingly and a drop of water emerged in front it then expanded into tens of meters, then forming in a shape of shield.

The hot fiery spear and blue water shield had collided causing a booming sound to emerge as a fiery spear began to drill through the water shield—which is constantly melting—then it was destroyed into a few drops of water. However, the fiery spear didn't stop moving as it continued to pierce through the air, before it penetrated the chest of Chen Feng's puppet.

The chest of Chen Feng's puppet had melted into a molten liquid after it was pierced through by the spear which caused the owner of this puppet to be in disbelief.

He couldn't believe it—or rather, he just couldn't accept it. His puppet was actually defeated by the trash even though his control was finer than his opponent. Suddenly, his metal puppet stopped moving even though he furiously moved his fingers. This caused Chen Feng to felt a bitter taste.

Meanwhile, Luo Xiong became slightly relaxed after he saw that Chen Feng's puppet stopped moving. Then, he moved his figers backwards as his puppet retracted the spear from the opponent puppet.

One could see on the puppet's tip was a crystalline-like stone was being pierced through. It is about the size of a baby's fist and even after being pierced through by the spear, it didn't melt like the metal puppet of Chen Feng. Instead, its light was slightly dimmed.

Luo Xiong knew what is this crystalline-like stone. It is called a Puppet Core. When one wanted to control a puppet, one needed to insert a Puppet Core to have a connection between the puppet and its owner. And now that it was being penetrated by his spear, the connection between Chen Feng and his puppet was naturally cut the moment it is destroyed. Which means, the puppet is basically, a truly lifeless being and unless one created a new Puppet Core and inserted within the puppet, it wouldn't come back to life—to be precise, it wouldn't move.

After seeing that the Puppet Core was destroyed, Luo Xiong heaved a sigh of relief as cold sweat began to pour down on his forehead.

Although, in the audience's perspective, Luo Xiong had easily won the battle. In truth, he had a rather hard time fighting with Chen Feng earlier.

With a lack of his cultivation, the control over his puppet was basically mediocre. He checked his magic space and saw that his internal magic power had depleted, before he glanced at Chen Feng and murmured, "Lucky guy…"

Then, he suddenly sat cross-legged then glance at the stunned crowd. Whether it is the lackeys of Chen Feng or Luo Yan or the Luo Clan servants, they have basically the same expression. Disbelief and shock! They were all stunned when they saw that Chen Feng, who had the higher odds of winning in this battle, became the loser. If this was spread spread in imperial city, almost all of the people wouldn't believe this at all.

Initially, when the battle started, they thought that Chen Feng would easily win this battle. But when they saw that Chen Feng actually lose, they suddenly fell in an stunned state. Who would've thought that the trash of Luo Clan would actually win!

Hearing, the lackeys of Chen Feng snapped out of reality as they glance at their boss who had a reddish eye due to rage. They quickly rushed over and one of the lackey said, "Young Master, I think we should leave now."

"That's right Young Master, although that Luo trash had won, it is just merely a luck."

The lackeys quickly persuaded their boss to leave because they were afraid. They are afraid not because of Luo Xiong, but instead, its his younger sister, Luo Yan.

They knew that Luo Xiong had depleted his internal magic power after the battle earlier, but Luo Yan isn't. So, before the bloody scene that would happen later occur, it is better to run away like a dog rather than being beaten up.

Chen Feng also knew thid and so, he glared at Luo Xiong maliciously before he left with his lackeys.

Seeing that Chen Feng and his lackeys had left, Luo Xiong heaved a sigh of relief. He was sure that they would not spread what happened today because it is humiliating for them.

Luo Xiong had also catch the malicious gaze of Chen Feng, but he didn't mind about it. He glance at the rest as he coldly said, "Don't tell anyone what happened today."

After that, he began to stood up and left the scene.
