Sorry no chapter today… just a joke

Nico Robin POV

The White Sea in front of me looked calm. Unmoving as if uneffected by the happening around.

*Splash*

That was until it raised and a figure shot out in the distance. In his hand a big… fish? Regardless of what it was it's big enough to feed tens of people for days.

I watched as the figure, my captain, took the creature to the rubble and ruins floating above our heads. There, the people from the destroyed town are temporarily residing.

It's been around a week since Jack- I mean the captain clashed with an admiral from the navy hq. I don't think I'll ever forget that sight. How he stood up to, what is known as the navy's strongest power the moment Kizaru looked at us.

When he looked at me, it made memories resurface. Painful memories. Kizaru is not Kuzan or Akainu but he was the same as them.

I learned quite early to pay attention to the navy's higher rankings. I had too for survival's sake since no one would stand up for.

Back then I, for a moment feared that he would turn around and leave me to fend for myself like it happened so often in the past. It wouldn't been like him at all but emotions can be irrational like that at times.

But in the end my new captain protected me. Not only me but his other comrades as well. Ever since I fled from Ohara 12 years ago no one did something like this. And who else would dare to do against an admiral?

"Robin-nee?"

"Huh?"

"What are you thinking about so deeply that you didn't hear me call the first 2 times?"

It was Kuina-chan who spoke and brought me out of my thoughts.

"Sorry I just thought about our captain. He is incredibly strong for a 12 years old so much so that it seems impossible to achieve."

"… Yeah… it does seem impossible."

She sounded somewhat depressed. In that regard she is really strange. Such a little girl following an ambition big enough to reach the sky with a passion burning strong enough to hurt even herself.

'I hope she won't destroy her body in the process and kill herself from depression afterwards.'

"To think he would take all the residence to another sky island even though Kizaru started the fight. Don't you think that was impulsive or naive?"

"Was it? I thought it was something to be proud about. Not everybody would think about them I. This situation."

That's also true. To summarize what happened, after the town was destroyed, captain felt bad and offered the remaining residence to take them to another sky island.

Rebuilding the town was impossible since the cloudy ground wasn't spared from destruction and getting enough recourses for enough new houses in time was more then impossible.

They could only migrate and that's where captain came and offered to take them to another island. With Sabo's devil fruit powers mass transportation became much easier and along the way the captain and Sabo would occasionally hunt in the White Sea since both could practically fly.

Though they looked quite afraid of him at first, they could only accept. That's how we are currently traveling above the sky, with around 1000 people.

'Thinking about it now, there haven't been any dull moments ever since I joined this crew… am I… felling happy here?'

A light pull on my hand returned me back to reality… again. Kuina was pulling me, while speaking in a determined tone.

"By the way Robin-nee… on a completely unrelated matter why don't we go under deck and practice something?"

"Practice something?"

Her question was confusing but for some reason I didn't want to decline after looking in those shining eyes.

"How about…dancing? I bet it would make everybody happy if for example during our next party we danced or something."

"…Dancing?"

Why dancing. That's unlike her usual self since she would only ever practice with the sword or train her body. Her training was beyond brutal but very effective since even I find her current build impressive for a girl her age.

"Ahh it's definitely not because Jackson promised to help me train if I could persuade you or anything of that sort."

*bad attempt at whistling, practically screaming 'guilty'*

"…"

'…That would explain everything. Guess time will reveal what I don't know yet.'

(AN: Hey Everyone! Happy new year! Don't worry the chapter isn't over it's just me playing a prank in preparation off the cliffs that are about to come. Remember I'm cultivating the dao off cliff!)

3rd Person POV

Navy HQ

In the fleet admiral's office Sengoku was sitting, buried by paperwork. His expression was more than grim since he had to rearrange tasks and mission, as well as have someone temporarily take over the duties of an admiral.

*sigh*

'Just how did it come to this…'

A deep and exhausted sigh escaped his mouth as he questioned where he took a wrong step. Around a weak ago a bright, yellow light beam came crushing into the head quarters doing huge damage to the buildings.

Thinking it was an attack all the nearby troops were mobilized in an instant while emergency sirens sounded around the hq.

But to their surprise it wasn't an attacker who came crushing down on them but their own admiral. Lying unconscious in rubble and his own blood.

He was brought to the infirmary barely on time as his wounds were more than life threatening. The worst part being they didn't know what happened or who did it since Kizaru himself is in a coma still fighting for his life. No one can say whether he will survive.

*Munch*Crunch*Munch*

A sound, very familiar to Sengoku, resounded through the room and brought him out of his own thoughts. Looking up he saw his oldest and best friend as well as his oldest and worst enemy.

Navy's hero, Vice-admiral Garp, was sitting in Sengoku's office eating rice crackers without a care in the world. Usually just the sight of Garp being so carefree and eating in his office would make Sengoku angry but it was especially the case during this week.

"…Don't you have your own office? Why in the world are you always sitting in mine?"

With an annoyed voice Sengoku questioned the nuisan- his old time friend out of spite- out of concern for his career.

"Nah. The rice crackers aren't as tasty if I don't make you watch while I eat them."

In response to this sarcastic and provocative answer Sengoku stood up and walked towards Garp. His face covered by shadows and a light killing intent could be felt.

'Guess today is the day I frame him for rebellion and kill him secretly… should I poison him with tea to make sure things will work out?'

As Sengoku made plans for an assassination the door to his office abruptly opened and a relatively small, old woman with grey hair hurriedly walked in.

Both Sengoku and Garp turned to look at her but felt an ominous feeling creep up in them when they saw her serious expression. Without wasting much time the fleet admirals spike first.

"What's the matter?"

"It's about Kizaru. He woke up.

"He is awake?"

Garp butted in but was ignored as the others knew that now wasn't the time to give him attention. Instead vice-admiral tsuru continued reporting.

"Kizaru made a verbal, unofficial report regarding his mission on Sky High."

This time Garp kept quiet as even he couldn't joke about this matter. Beating an admiral should be close to impossible much less beating one into such a state. The people capable of that could be counted on one's fingers and none of them were supposed to be in the first half of the Grand Line, much less on a Sky Island. In short there was someone at least on the level of an admiral.

Thinking about this the ominous feeling in Garp's heart suddenly grew by several times.

'…Please let me be wrong this one time.'

Were his current thoughts.

"First things first. Who was responsible for the state he arrived. According to the reports it was beyond a miracle that he landed here while breathing."

Sengoku urged tsuru to continue.

"It was a young pirate who was coincidentally on the sky island. A rookie on the Grand Line if you so will though the title doesn't fit him according to Kizaru's report. I'm talking about 'Jackson the Goliath'"
