You're Really Popular, Aren't You?

Ginger was apprehensive because Dane's brother and sister-in-law were looking at her like they were analyzing her for any potential flaws. At least their daughter seemed to like her right off the bat. Kids were usually pretty accepting though. 

The tension broke and Max gave her a friendly smile as he shook her hand. "So nice to meet you! I've heard a lot about you."

"Same here," Ginger said, wondering what on earth Dane had told him about her. 

Zoe was just as friendly a moment later and she wondered if their appraisal had gone in her favor. They both had a lot of questions for her as they all sat down around the table but she had expected that. 

What she hadn't expected was that all of them ate as much as Dane did. There was a veritable feast on the table and nearly everything was gone by the end of the meal!
