"I respectfully disagree. Venethan is too ambitious and his vision may very well drive the fairy realm into the ground. He should not be allowed to have more power than he already does. He is married to magic; he could never love you," he said bluntly. 

She laughed and mussed his hair the way she used to when they were children. "How wrong you are, my friend. Truthfully, he confessed his love to me months ago. I was surprised because of how often we bicker but I realized it is his way of showing affection. 

"He has always been like that so he must have loved me a very long time. He did say he would not have stuck around as long as he did if he had been called upon to tutor anyone else. I am special to him. And after much thought, I came to the conclusion that he is special to me as well.
