Elric’s beloved Plant

"What are you looking at, Miss Evelyn?" Elric asked her, looking at her squinting her eyes.

She said, pointing to the plant, "Was wondering what type of plant that was."

"I see," he walked towards the plant and touched a green leaf before adding, "You can see it from here. No need to squint your eyes like an old lady."

His remark made her mentally roll her eyes. She frowned, recalling how he didn't allow anyone to come closer to the plant, and here he was. She wondered if this was any kind of prank he was playing with her or this wasn't the plant that Mr Wooster mentioned. She looked around the room for another plant but couldn't find one.

"What are you searching for?" He asked her.

She returned her gaze back to him and replied, "Nothing." She walked towards the plant and asked, "May I touch it?"
