A Day Of Beauty With The Queen

**ADDIE'S POV**

The first day, I had been unable to go to work because I was being fitted for dresses and having a lunch date with Juliana. I didn't mind that. It was all well and good. However, the next day, I was summoned by Juliana once again.

Today, I was called to have a 'day of beauty with the queen'. That was how the attendant that brought the message described it. And, once again, I was not able to refuse her because she was the queen and therefore any request from her was an order in disguise. She might not see it that way, but the others would.

If I grew the ire and scorn of all of the attendants that served Juliana and King Callum, then I would draw the ire of everyone in the palace. I would even draw the ire of Nithi and Nishi. They were palace attendants that were assigned to me by the king himself. They would not take kindly to me being unfriendly to their liege.
