**ADDIE'S POV**
"The thing is, Addie, there are so many elements to this spell, it might be almost impossible to find something that it can bind to."
Those words. Nolan's little bit of advice. It was bouncing around inside of my head like it was a ping pong ball at double speed. Not only would it not stop bombarding my brain as if it was the only thing that I could hear or see, but it was also wrapping around my heart. I swear the words were like a rubber band that had wrapped around my chest cavity repeatedly. It felt so tight that I didn't know if I was able to breathe anymore at all.
"Don't worry, Addie. I promise you that I won't stop looking for the right material. I will do everything that I can to make sure that this will work." Nolan sounded so sincere and intense when he said that. Why, though? Aside from wanting me to succeed in making my first magical item, why was this so important to him? Why did it seem like he was taking this so personally?
