Getting Ready To See The King

I did not expect the flurry of movement that came first thing the next morning. I mean, by now I was used to my servants doing things in the room when I was still laying in bed, However, it was never this busy this early. It wasn't even daylight yet and they were up and ready to take on the day.

"Come now, Miss Addie. It is time to get up. The king has asked us to make sure you were ready by the time that he got here. We need to bathe you and dress you before that time. And it would most likely be best if you were to have some breakfast before he arrives." Nishi was right there to rouse me from my slumber when all I wanted to do was sleep in longer. This was way too early to be awake. "Come on now, Addie. We need to prepare you. You have to be presentable for the king."
