"Don't call me that. You aren't qualified."

Qie Xieling really kept his word and treated Luo Muchen like air. Was he worried that maybe Luo Muchen would be affected by this?

Nope, that's because though Luo Muchen might be as chilling as ice he was still so popular. Everybody including Bi Yu wanted to be around him. Why would it matter if he didn't get along with one kid in class, right?

Qie Xieling bit through the pink macaron from inside Bo Ailun's snack bag before calling out to Bi Yu who was standing near the cubbies.

"Hey Bi Yu, come pick up your friend. He seems lost," he said with a slight quirk at the corner of his lips and Luo Muchen's eyes widened slightly.

Bi Yu ran over with her snacks and grabbed Luo Muchen's hand dragging him away while yelling at Qie Xieling. "Lin Lin, you are such a bully," she said but Qie Xieling chuckled the exact same way Wen Qinxi does and said,

"Don't call me Lin Lin. You aren't qualified." Bi Yu stuck out her tongue at him which was the most offensive thing a kid her age could come up with before sitting next to Luo Muchen.

Luo Muchen didn't speak. He had his head lowered looking at the card Qie Xieling made for him. He opened it thinking that Qie Xieling had probably left a heartfelt apology in there but his lips quirked slightly when he read it.

Seeing him smile like that Bi Yu was curious so she reached over to take the letter from him but he dodged her hand swiftly. Bi Yu was a little surprised. From what she could tell these two disliked each other so what was the use of keeping the card?

"Mu Mu, let me throw it away for you and I will draw you another one," she said but he packed it away and replied,

"Don't call me that. You aren't qualified."

Bi Yu, "..."

Meanwhile, Qie Xieling who had bit through his second macaron was suddenly patted on the shoulder by Bo Ailun. When he turned to look at him Bo Ailun asked directly, "You don't like Luo Muchen?"

With a smirk, Qie Xieling beckoned him over and whispered, "Let me tell you something. From this day onwards he is my enemy. No no my arch enemy and every day I will make him miserable."

What did he mean by making him miserable? He meant pranking the guy at any chance he got and for the next two years Qie Xieling did exactly that.

He pulled all the stops from plastic spiders in Luo Muchen's cubby to a whoopee cushion on his chair. Granted these pranks were childish but he was a kid after all. That tiny class found it very funny but that meant Qie Xieling would be reprimanded by the teacher more often than others. This also meant his parents would hear about it and ground him often.

By the time he graduated from pre-K, they were very happy to pass him on to elementary school. He was their problem now.

Qie Xieling walked proudly onto that stage and received his certificate with a beaming smile but his parents were whispering to each other, "Did you see the way that woman glared at us? I swear she was going to stab me with her eyes."

Wen Qinxi was referring to Luo Muchen's mother. She somehow had found out about Qie Xieling's pranks on Luo Muchen and now she was judging them for bad parenting. Meanwhile, the culprit looked like he was receiving the noble peace prize.

"My Lin Lin is a good boy," whispered Mama Qie loudly sticking her head between the two of them. "Look at him. He is an angel," she said but mama Wen wasn't buying it. She raised Wen Qinxi and knew that her grandson was just like him.

Qie Xieling had no idea that his family was arguing about his innocence. He just sat down next to Bo Ailun tugging at his graduation cap. To his left was the very person he had been screwing with for over a year.

Luo Muchen glanced at Qie Xieling's collar that was up on one side and clenched his fist fighting off the urge to fix it for him.

He decided to tell him but before he could say anything his name was called onto the stage. With his name were a lot of achievements. There was first in class excelling in everything, the most helpful student and the most well-behaved. Some would argue that having such awards and prizes at pre-K is a little too much but this was a very competitive highly sort after institution with pre-K, elementary and high school under their belt. They aimed to produce the cream of the crop and the most accomplished students.

After receiving his certificates he staggered back to his seat hoping to impress a certain someone so maybe they could be friends but what was Qie Xieling doing?

Qie Xieling was playing thumb wars with Bo Ailun on the gaps between the chairs and from the looks of it he was losing terribly.

Yes, despite being pranked by Qie Xieling so many times and being treated invisibly he still wanted to be Qie Xieling's friend. In fact, he sought of liked the pranks because it meant Qie Xieling was thinking about him. That was the only time Qie Xieling didn't treat him like he didn't exist. He yearned for Qie Xieling's attention which was incredibly difficult.

Luo Muchen sat down clenching the certificates rolled up in his hand. He tried to ignore what was happening there but in the end, he couldn't resist. He placed the things in his hands on his lap and straightened out Qie Xieling's collar.

Qie Xieling jolted when he felt something wiggling on his neck. He glared at Luo Muchen but when he remembered that this person was invisible to him he turned to look away.

"Lin Lin...," said Luo Muchen and Qie Xieling felt shivers all over being called that by this kid.

"We are not that close," he said to him and old Kwong made a shushing gesture at Qie Xieling.

Qie Xieling, "..."

He didn't even speak first but he was being blamed for it. That's because, with his rap sheet, he was always the first to be blamed for everything and anything that went wrong in class.

Qie Xieling turned to look away but Luo Muchen still spoke to him. "What school are you going to?" he asked and Qie Xieling was very rude about it.

"It's none of your business."

Luo Muchen showed a slight smile hearing this and when Qie Xieling saw that smile his brows creased as he asked, "Why are you smiling?"

"Xieling Shh" whispered Ms Kwong.

Qie Xieling, "..."
