"I didn't think that rock could break," Derek muttered. He scratched the back of his head trying to think of what he should do next.

Victor sat in a chair watching Derek with great boredom. "Vincent's going to kill you for breaking that when he returns. I told you to be careful."

"Technically, he'll kill the two of us since you weren't supposed to let anyone into his home. Not even me and I will tell him you dared me to try shifting in less than twenty seconds. If I am going to die, I am taking you with me," said Derek.

"I-" Victor opened his mouth to say something but a tingle all over his skin stopped him. He sniffed the air to be certain and once the familiar scent filled his nose, he hopped up out of his seat and went for the door.
