A/N: I was struggling with fixing chapter 42 and decided to add the side story instead. it's about Amane's experiences during middle school. By the way, he was in Lookism.

"Your dad's not going to like this, Vivi-San," Amane said, lowering his head as he followed the pretty girl.

Vivi adjusted her sunglasses and shrugged, saying, "Who cares? Your mom sold you to me, so deal with it." (A/N: She's Vivi from Lookism.)

Amane sighed, covering his face, and muttered, "How did things end up like this..."

(Flashbacks)

In a big building, a fancy-dressed woman with a pretty face looked at the two middle school students.

"Amane-kun, you gotta start making money on your own now," Shihoko said, looking at her son.

"Okay, I'm gonna find a part-time job," Amane replied, getting ready to leave as Amou and Gu Yuena followed him.

"Wait, hold on a sec. Let me finish what I'm saying," Shihoko said, pouting. "I'm telling you this because a friend of mine needs a bodyguard for her daughter. And you're the first person I thought of."

"The bodyguard thing is just an excuse, though. My friend's daughter needs to learn how to interact with different kinds of people because she's a bit spoiled," Shihoko explained, looking at the two kids. "You, my son, can talk to anyone and have diplomatic immunity, so you're a perfect fit."

"By the way, how did you get diplomatic immunity?" She asked, looking at her son who avoided her gaze.

"The other countries asked our government to keep Amane out of the Japanese army since he's really powerful, and in return, he got diplomatic immunity," Amou answered, getting her favorite teddy bear from Shihoko, who was grinning happily as she patted Amou's head. "They know he won't attack unless he's attacked first, but some countries still banned him."

"Why's that?" Shihoko questioned, looking at Amou.

"Amane's really good with all kinds of weapons. He can hit targets from more than a hundred miles away and his martial arts are even better than those of many experts," Amou explained, chomping on the cookie Shihoko had given her. "His skin's tougher than metal too."

"Sigh, I guess that's why that guy wanted Amane around his daughter," Shihoko sighed, glancing at Amou. "Are you okay with him getting close to other girls?"

"It's okay with me. I know he'll probably gather a bunch of girls around him sooner or later," Amou answered.

The two continued chatting while Amane taught basic language to Gu Yuena, who quickly picked it up. He patiently taught her everything she needed to know.

"I need you to do one more thing for me," Shihoko said.

"What?" Amane looked confused.

"My cousin lives in Korea, and I want you to go see her and help her with her eye issues," Shihoko explained, looking at her son seriously.

"Why me?" Amane asked, knowing his mom wasn't aware of his abilities.

"Let's just call it a mother's feeling," Shihoko said, giving her son a kind smile. Amane nodded and smiled back before they left the office.

"As a mom, I sense you're keeping something from me. But remember, I know you well, my dear son," Shihoko whispered, glancing at the door before going back to her work.

"Even sweet little girl, Amou, lied to cover for you," Shihoko muttered while reading the file about Amane's diplomatic immunity, which mentioned that he had to undertake a mission from the respective country every year; otherwise, his immunity would be revoked. "At least you have someone you can rely on. Maybe I should ask Shuuto-kun to create a daughter."

(Back to the Mc)

"Wait, why am I acting like your bodyguard?" Amane questioned, looking at Vivi. "I'm just supposed to accompany you and keep you safe."

"It's the same thing, dumbass," Gu Yuena chimed in, watching eating up the whole chicken he bought for her.

"Where'd you learn to use those words, Na'er?" Amane asked Gu Yuena.

"From the internet," Gu Yuena replied.

Amane quickly picked up his phone and typed in a bunch of codes. But Amou snatched it and said, "You shouldn't get rid of the internet."

"Tsk, they're trying to influence Na'er," Amane grumbled.

"Gu Yuena's from China, right? She must be from a rich family," Vivi said, admiring Gu Yuena's appearance because she was Chinese as well.

"Not really, my mom adopted her," Amane replied as he fed Gu Yuena.

"Can I feed her too?" Vivi asked, wanting to share her cake with Gu Yuena.

"For the sake of cake, sure, go ahead," Gu Yuena answered, opening her mouth for Vivi to feed her a piece of chocolate cake.

"Wow, can I also adopt you as my little sister?" Vivi asked, looking at Gu Yuena.

"No," Gu Yuena replied.

"Aw, come on," Vivi insisted.

"Nope, not happening," Gu Yuena firmly stated, ignoring her after that.

"Where are we headed?" Vivi asked, looking at Amane.

"We're going to visit my mom's cousin. I heard she's having eye problems and needs a lot of money," Amane explained, his mother giving him a second task to visit her relative.

"I see. By the way, do you know what kind of powder this is?" Vivi asked, showing something she took from her pocket to Amane. "My friend said eating this would make me happy, but who would eat powder? He's weird."

Amane quickly took the powder from her hand and used his skill trace-on, discovering that the entire pack was filled with a powerful drug, a single taste would make someone lost consciousness.

"Who gave you this?" Amane asked, his expression serious.

"My friend William, he's the CEO's son from America. He's strange. he laughs sometimes and even invited me to his room, but I declined since I had things to do," Vivi replied.

Amou, who had been quiet, looked at Vivi and immediately understood she was a naive girl.

"I'll pay him a visit next time. Tell him to be ready, okay?" Amane said, patting her head. "Don't accept things like this from anyone, especially strangers."

"Okay," Vivi agreed and followed him.

"It's not easy for you, Xiao Long," Amane remarked to the guy following behind.

Xiao Long nodded at Amane and followed quietly.

"Come on, don't be so silent," Amane urged, pulling the kid closer.

"Yeah, you should talk more," Vivi added, nodding in agreement.

"As you wish, young lady," Xiao Long replied in a somewhat emotionless tone.

Amane opened his phone and started trying to check in at a hotel, until he heard Amou's voice.

"I already checked in," Amou mentioned when she saw Amane trying to reserve a hotel room.

"Thanks," Amane said, holding her hand similarly to Gu Yuena.

"Are you two in a relationship?" Vivi asked with a smile, noticing their intertwined hands.

"Yep, I plan to marry them both," Amane answered, raising their hands with a grin.

Amou blushed and looked away, while Gu Yuena stared at Amane, clearly puzzled as she thought they were already married in proper way.

"We've arrived," Amane said, looking at the small house before knocking on the door.

"You must be new around here," an elderly voice spoke, and the group turned to see an old man. "The lady who owns this house is in rehabilitation due to an unfortunate accident, and her son is currently missing."

"Thank you for letting us know, Grandpa," Amane replied, nodding.

"Hahaha, don't mention it," the elderly man chuckled. "What brings you to this place?"

Amane smiled at the old man and said, "We're here because the owner of this house is my mother's third cousin."

"I see, I see," the grandpa responded, jotting something down on a piece of paper. "Here's the address of the hospital. You should pay her a visit; she really needs it."

"Thank you," Amane said, handing a hundred thousand yuan to the grandpa.

"I-I can't accept something like this," the grandpa protested, trying to return the money.

"Don't worry," Amane reassured him. "Just do me a favor, Grandpa. If anything bad happens to her or her son, please call me using this number." He handed over his contact number. "I understand they might feel uneasy accepting help again, but as her niece, it's also my responsibility to assist her."

"Sigh, I wish all kids your age were like you. These days, kids are either forming gangs or glued to their gadgets," the grandpa remarked before leaving.

Amane and his group watched the old man's back before they headed towards the rehabilitation center.
