In the bathroom, I click on the overhead light and squint at my reflection in the mirror. Too bright. I turn off the light and stare at myself in the scant sun that shines through the frosted window in the shower. I should bathe, rinse last night off and start all over again clean and fresh. Slipping my undershirt over my head, I fumble with the lock on the bathroom door for a few moments before I realize it doesn’t work. Oh well. I’ll make it quick.
