Cam yawned. Sleep. That’s what I need, Cam thought. If I could just get a good night’s sleep, I could think through all this better. I know I’m missing something. It’s probably right in front of my nose. If I weren’t so damned tired, I know I’d be able to see it.
She looked up as the noon bell rang. Well, she thought, after lunch, a little fresh air in the yard, or even a good workout in the gym. That should be enough to make me sleep well tonight.

Gina, however, had other ideas. Not long after they’d returned from dinner, Gina danced back into Cam’s room from wherever she spent her evenings. She bounced down onto the bunk where Cam had been quietly reading.
“Did you miss me today?” she asked.
Cam folded the upper corner of the page down to mark her place as she closed the book. As she turned to talk to Gina, Gina leaned into her and planted a long wet kiss on her mouth.
