Chapter 9

As soon as Rémy and Ian hit the door, Ian, Colin, and Marc got right to it leaving Rémy standing in the study. Ian was the painter. Colin looked at Ian’s texture board. Marc was right—the man was an artist with a paintbrush. After Marc had outlined the effect that he wanted to achieve, Ian suggested he use brush suede throughout most of the penthouse.

“You have many windows, the light shouldn’t be a problem. You can go dark on the walls like the brown suede shown on the board, but I’d have it done in a lighter blue-grey and spice up the room with bright blue accents. Use it in the pillows and the throw rugs and combine it with the wall color in a pattern on the curtains or the occasional chairs. Also, find some books and little treasures to put on these bookshelves. Otherwise everything comes off as cold and sterile.” Ian looked at Colin and asked, “What do you think about the blue-grey metallic waves throughout the upstairs?”
