Chapter 54: Central courtyard renovation plan

Bai Yi Yang was taking her time in picking mushrooms, she explore new areas and clean new roads as she talk with the system. They came across a few Matsutake mushrooms but Bai Yi Yang didn't pick any. Her goals is to find mushrooms to be dried, she will come pick Matsutake in another days.

Bai Yi Yang returns home at 9.30 am with big haul and immediately went to dried it on the field. Seems like, she really need to make the drying place as soon as possible. It is not convenient to continue using canvas on the empty fields, in the future they will plant something on it. Bai Yi Chen is already at the field when Bai Yi Yang come.

"Ge, take it easy." Bai Yi Yang said as she see him sweating under the hot sun.

"En.." Bai Yi Chen hummed.

After drying the mushrooms neatly, Bai Yi Yang returns to her workshop. Seeing the clean workshop and neat wood in the courtyard, Bai Yi Yang smile. She knows that Bai Yi Chen sometimes come here to clean, it must be him again this time. Only after that she continue making the dog house. She finished assembling it a bit passed 11 am.

Bai Yi Yang was about to go inside to bath when a car honk can be heard from outside. She make a U turn and went to look at the gate. Oh, isn't this Mr.Song from the flower shop? He was eager about designing the central courtyard last time. He really came back.

"Hello Mr. Song.." Bai Yi Yang greet him.

"Miss Bai, there seems to be people in your house now." Mr.Song came down from his little truck.

"Yes, they are doing work in the kitchen. Please come in." Bai Yi Yang invite him side, but she only bring him to sit at the wooden stool under the corridor. There is no other place to receive guest now.

"May I know why Mr.Song is here?" Bai Yi Yang ask. Mr.Song smile, he thanks Bai Yi Ling who gave him a cup of water.

"It's like this, I have made a few designs on the central courtyard as I said last time. I wonder if Miss Bai is still interested?" Mr.Song ask cautiously.

"Of course." Bai Yi Yang smiled.

Mr.Song immediately sigh in relief and bring out a sketch book. There are three total design with explanations besides it on the type of materials use. Bai Yi Yang look at it carefully, Mr.Song design is not bad but some of the design doesn't look very child and pets friendly or the materials used is over the top.

"I like this one, we have river in our village. As for the large stone I will leave it to you, as for the smaller stones in between, I can bring my siblings to pick them up and call the children from the village to collect some." Bai Yi Yang said. It will be more meaningful to her siblings if they get involved.

Mr.Song design that she choose still maintained the natural shape of central courtyard only that the old bricks will be replaced by natural stone with different shape and sizes, glued by cement and between them are small pebbles. The grass will also be replaced and on the side of the pathway will be planted with small flowers with various colours, Mr.Song stated their names but Bai Yi Yang cannot recognise all of these.

"As for the flowers.." Bai Yi Yang is a bit reluctant.

"Miss Bai, trust me, these small flowers is very easy to maintain, as long as the grass survive, they will survive. What more, they won't grow tall." Mr.Song explain.

"Alright, then did you survey the price for the materials?" Bai Yi Yang asked.

"Yes I have. Natural stone is very cheap, other than that I also need to buy concrete mixture but all of it is also has very low price." Mr.Song explain.

"En, then you can purchase it first, send the receipt to me I will immediately pay you the materials price. As for the labour price, we will talk about it later." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Of course of course. I don't need much labour fee, just after the job is done can I take the lawn pictures and post it? I am thinking about advertising this service." Mr. Song said.

"Alright. Then when do you plan to start?" Bai Yi Yang said.

"Tomorrow. I can go buy all the supplies this evening and start tomorrow." Mr.Song said.

"Alright, then I will also ask the kids to start collecting pebbles today." Bai Yi Yang nod.

Mr.Song quickly returns after taking another look at the central courtyard. This time he make sure to take details measurements, he also took note of the new plant stand.

Bai Yi Yang immediately went to bath after that, when she came out, Bai Yi Ling ask her about her conversation with Mr.Song this afternoon.

"Jie, what is that thing about collecting pebbles?" She said.

"Oh, that's for the new pavement. Later you follow me to the village, we are asking the children to pick some pebbles." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Oh, okay." Bai Yi Ling said.

"Jie, what are we eating for lunch?" Bai Yi Ling ask.

"Lunch?" Bai Yi Yang think hard.

"Well, have you cooked the rice?" Bai Yi Yang asked.

"En." Bai Yi Ling nod.

"Then we just eat it with canned food bah." Bai Yi Yang said then went into the right room to choose two canned food, this is an oversea brands that she is familiar with. They taste quite okay.

The siblings gather and eat lunch together at 12 pm, when Zhang Yong team came out of the kitchen. Zhang Yong saw the siblings gathering at the living room and feels like Bai Yi Yang is excluding him.

"Hey…" Just when he was about to call, Zhang Li Li pull him back.

"Don't embarrass us further. We can't mooch on them anymore, you be thankful that the girl is willing to sell their dried mushrooms to you." Zhang Li Li whispered.

"Yi Yang, we will head to town to eat and return at 2 pm." Zhang Li Li called out then wave at the siblings. Bai Yi Yang reply her and then continue to eat with her siblings.

When the team is in the car, Zhang Yong still feels that Zhang Li Li is just finding fault with him.

"You still don't understand that girl, if you continuously offer help to her, she will become more distant. You didn't see that older brother gaze when we come out, he will dislike you further if you continuously stick to his sister. If you want a longer relationship with the Bai siblings, then both side should be equal, one side cannot owe the other side too much. Understand?" Zhang Li Li lecture.

"En, Li Li is right. From what I see, this Bai siblings is not simple minded children, I heard the two smallest one conversation about their friend, the older brother Yi Mo said not to get to close to this certain someone because they are just taking advantage of good things that Yi Fang have, then you know what the little girl answer? She said while laughing brightly, how come her older brother didn't notice that she is also using that certain someone, what more without knowing that they were used." Hu Yu Guang who is driving said this. When he heard this, he is amazed and shock about they way the two children think. Not easy to be manipulated at all.

"That is not their fault.." Zhang Yong said.

"That's why, they are not simple like other kids out there, so you should think about your actions too going forward.." Zhang Li Li said.

"When I heard what Yu Guang said, I actually feel relieved that they are not easily fooled. There are many bad people in this world, if they meet one in the future, they won't become a victim." Zhang Li Li add. Hu Yu Guang also nod.

"Fine..I will think about my action in the future. I won't make them uncomfortable anymore." Zhang Yong said.

"Isn't we just thinking this for your future business. You wait another two years, if you still don't have girlfriend then you can pursue Yi Yang." Hu Yu Guang said teasingly. Bai Yi Yang will be 18 after 2 years, by then should be no problem even if Zhang Yong this old man is interested with her.

"Crazy bastard!" Zhang Yong curse his best friend.

"Don't give him hope, by the time Yi Yang reach a legal age, he is already an old man." Zhang Li Li also support.

"I really don't know what to say about the two of you." Zhang Yong pretend to have a headache.

After that, their conversation change to their works, they had work for one and a half day, they can finish it by this evening. It's just that after the installation, they still need to do the quality check after everything is dried. This evening, they will continue to finish the build in cabinet then only by then their job is finished.

Back to the Bai siblings, they all went to take a nap after lunch, she already remind her siblings that they are going to the village to find children that are free and go collect some pebbles.

After taking a short nap, Bai Yi Yang woke up at 1.30 pm and make two bottles of milk for the puppies, they look way better after 1 day staying at their house, the two children had let the puppies roam around the central courtyard on their watch this morning.

"You two is still too weak, stay inside the box while we are not at home." She said to the two puppies. Bai Yi Yang lift the puppies one by one and noticed that both of them are male dogs.

"What are we going to do in the future, cut off your balls?" Bai Yi Yang make a cutting action to the puppies. Seems like he need to do this, if not they may impregnate other female dog. That is not good, there will be much more stray dogs in the village.

'Host, you are so scary.' The system said. Bai Yi Yang laugh and put the puppies down.

'Tongtong, when are you going to become a cat and teach them?' Bai Yi Yang said.

The system immediately go offline and crouch at the corner, why does it feels a bit scared to live in the human world? What if the Host cut its balls too? It must become a female cat then.

Bai Yi Yang didn't say anything, let the system take its time. It's not urgent and they have enough points to exchange for TongTong's skin now.
