230. Transfer Student

When Izumi got home, he was able to stand up without the help of his friends. But still, he felt weak, even his stomach was growling with hunger.

For a while, Izumi felt relieved. He didn't want to think about what happened before. He was grateful that he was still given the chance to live. Otherwise, how would his parents who only have an only child feel?

If he died, his parents would be in utter shock and their grief would drag on forever.

Izumi could only lie down on the sofa in the living room. Little by little, his strength began to recover. And his injuries seemed to be completely recovered.

Still, he wasn't in the mood to cook so he bought food online. After he finished his food.

"Fuuhh, at least my stomach is filled."

Izumi said while stroking his stomach. He only ordered 15 servings of food, and it was still not enough to fill Izumi's stomach. But at least he's starting to get his strength back.

He opened the Chat Group and wanted to type something. But he called it off because he didn't want to worry them. On second thought, he typed something different.

Izumi: Gramp Warrod, what about the guild?

Warrod: Oh, we just need to wait for some time. I've already gone to the magic council to apply.

Izumi: How did they respond? Is it positive?

Kisame: Oh, they were surprised when this old man founded the guild. Coincidentally too, we meet a bald man like a monk, and he wonders why this old man decided to set up a guild.

Izumi: Monk? Jura?

Warrod: Yeah, right. He's Jura Neekis from the Lamia Scale guild. And I didn't expect Kisame to start fighting right away when they met.

Kisame: He looks strong, so I can't help myself.

Izumi: The fuck. You better not do that to Zeref or his men! You are indeed strong, but, there are far more powerful ones yet to reveal themselves!

Kisame: You don't have to worry. Old man Warrod already told me.

Knowing that the guild building was going pretty smoothly, Izumi was pretty sure it would only be a matter of time before it was formalized.

He chatted for some time, then he went into his room and started operating the newly created holographic computer. After the hologram computer was running, as usual, Izumi opened an application.

Then, he compiled a series of codes that is commonly referred to as programming language. This code is the language used on the computer. Just as humans need a way to communicate, so do computers.

The reason why he wrote the codes was of course to develop software that would later be used on the Duel Disk that he wanted to create.

And from that moment on, Izumi spent 4 days just making software and hardware, both for the Duel Disk and the cards. He plans to insert a small chip as a core in the card which will later be read through the Duel Disk. Then, the Duel Disk will scan the card and display a small 3D virtual image on top of the Duel Disk.

Even though later the company Izumi wanted to work with had to make a new version of the card, the investment Izumi had planned was not bad at all. And since the Yu-Gi-Oh duel card is already quite popular, of course, the people who bought the Duel Disk would buy the latest version of the card to duel with each other.

With Izumi's plan of creating the Duel Disk first, the Vocaloid project will be delayed. Naturally, that was because he had never met the voice actress for Hatsune Miku. Izumi just wanted to make something that would benefit him first. Indeed, Izumi had created a 3D Vocaloid virtual image. Lyrics and arrangements have also been made. Only the voice actress is missing because he hasn't contacted the person yet. Therefore, the Vocaloid project still needs time to be completed.

Over the past few days, Izumi had been feeling quite restless. How could he not be restless after getting a "special" message from D that she intended to see him again?

If D intended to do something with his family, he would not remain silent even though Miyagi Prefecture would be destroyed later.

Izumi sighed.

"I don't need to think about that. The important thing is, how can I prevent her from doing something like that."

Izumi feels at his wits end with the appearance of D. Against her, it was certain that he was not her match. The only way is to seal her. Yet, he felt that his power wasn't enough to do that.

"That power of hers was so familiar. It was Kuroneko's sword. That's right, that power I used to call divine power. However, that power is the power of the law which uses law energy."

Izumi knew that divine power was the power of law because Kuroneko's sword wielded that power, even though Kuroneko couldn't use that power without her sword.

So, it was not strange if Izumi was familiar with that power.

September, 1, 2010.

Time flew smoothly as the summer holiday came to an end. As such, a new term begins.

Izumi felt a little relieved that there was no sign of D which he thought would move near his house. On his way to school, he meets Mizuki Hisahito who is walking with Usui Yūta, two seniors in the A-team football club.

Hisahito nodded at Izumi. He doesn't talk too much, even with his closest friends. While Yūta greeted Izumi.

"Morning."

"Morning, seniors."

Izumi greeted them back. Yūta looked at Izumi's appearance and said,

"Your face doesn't look fresh, you stayed up late last night?"

"Yeah, something like that. I had work to finish last night."

Izumi couldn't say that he couldn't sleep because of something unreasonable. The "work" excuse was just a diversion to make what he was saying make sense.

Yūta patted Izumi's shoulder.

"Don't push yourself too hard, you have to take care of your health! The national cup qualifier will start in two weeks, so don't get sick then!"

"Thank you for your concern, Yūta-san."

They walked to school together while discussing the national cup. His school, Katagiri High School, is in the J1 youth league. However, that was exclusively for the A team. As for the B team, which Izumi was in, was still in the J4 youth league.

Though, he didn't really care about that for now.

When Izumi arrived in class, he immediately sat down in his seat with a tired appearance. Tōru, who was already in class first, saw his face that didn't look like it used to be.

"Izumi, you don't look well."

"Tōru, huh? I'm just not getting enough sleep."

"Even though you just recovered after that time you suddenly got sick, now you're staying up all night. You'd better go to the infirmary!"

"No need"

Izumi waved his hand, telling Tooru not to worry.

Izumi laid his head on the table and covered it with both hands as if he wanted to sleep and didn't want to be disturbed by others.

A moment later, the school bell rang. On the first day, the students only submitted their homework. The teachers will have a meeting afterward.

"Attention everyone, today we have another new student in this class."

The homeroom teacher came into the classroom and gave a little surprise to the students. The class atmosphere was immediately lively which caused Izumi to be slightly disturbed by the noise of the students in his class. Izumi kept his ears closed to stop the noise, but it was useless because the class was quite lively to hear the new student who was said to be a girl.

"Come in, and introduce yourself!"

A girl walked into the classroom who had straight, waist-length black hair and black eyes. She is a beautiful girl, has beautiful eyes, long eyelashes, and fair skin.

Hiroyuki and Shō looked at each other when they saw the girl's arrival in their classroom. They also saw Tōru who was also glancing at them.

The girl introduced herself with a sweet smile.

"Introducing, my name is Wakaba Hime, I hope I can get along with you."

Hearing a name that resembled someone familiar to Izumi, he raised his head and looked at the transfer student. Instantly, his body seemed to freeze.

At the same time that Izumi's gaze fell on the girl, the girl also glanced at Izumi with her mouth curled upward.
