99. Destroying The Border Bridge

A few days later. In the demon territory capital, Xaos. Precisely in the largest building in the center of the capital was none other than the Demon King's castle.

There is a girl. She has straight-long blonde hair, blue eyes, and pointed ears. Her skin was slightly tanned, and her curves looked attractive. On her side was a man with tall, well-built, and red hair and eyes. He is handsome enough to draw the attention of plenty of women.

That girl was Eveam Gran Early Evening, the current demon lord. Whereas the man was Aquinas Li Reysis Phoenix who occupied the first seat of the Cruel Brigade.

Eveam is worried because until now there has been no response from the Humas regarding the proposed peace treaty. Meanwhile, the Gabranth actually made a suspicious movement at the end of the day.

While both of them were talking about the Humas that was still unresponsive about the peace treaty proposal. A painting-like bird suddenly dived down toward them. When Eveam grabbed it, it instantly changed into a letter. She opened the letter and read it. She frowned. Aquinas who looked at her changing expression asked.

"Did something happen, Your Majesty?"

"Gabranth wanted to wage a war against us. They are already prepared." Eveam spelled it out.

"Good thing Teckil told us beforehand." Aquinas nodded.

"Also, read the last part!" Eveam said. Aquinas was a bit confused. But, he still obeyed her words.

"A young boy with long white hair lost in the Humas continent? That boy is so strong that Teckil feels his strength is on par with mine, and that boy also has an eye that can negate magic? This…" Aquinas was dumbfounded. It was as if Teckil was joking with him.

"Teckil also said that this boy's circumstances were complicated and he couldn't spill out everything for some reason. It's better if I meet this boy in person since he's on his way to the demon territory. What do you think, Aquinas?" Eveam turned to Aquinas, waiting for his opinion.

"I will send someone to look for him later. What matters most is how we respond to the Gabranth." Aquinas made it clear.

Two of them are Eveam and Aquinas, while the other one is Marione. Marione is a man with a grim face, obviously a hardliner. He also has a splendid, curly mustache.

The three of them landed near the border bridge while looking at Izumi.

"Is that the young man Teckil was referring to?"

"Judging by the boy's appearance, it is most likely so, Your Majesty."

Eveam was the first to ask, then Aquinas answered.

Izumi already felt their presence. But, he took no account of their arrival. He already guessed who they were anyway.

Izumi took out the demon sword, Gram, which he "stole" from Mitsurugi Kyouya in his last mission. Izumi grinned.

"Let me try how powerful this sword is."

Using his sword art, a cold aura erupted out of his body. In that instant, all of the Gabranth people noticed his presence.

"Enemy attack!!!" One of the Gabranth immediately warned the others and prepared to face Izumi.

Meanwhile, Izumi just chuckled at their reactions.

"Too bad, I can't use my Devil Fruit power. If only I could, I want to try combining it with my sword techniques."

Izumi pointed his sword forward and warned them.

"If you care about your lives, leave this place immediately! Don't blame me if you failed to preserve your lives. I will count down from 10. 10…9…8…7…6…5…"

Barid, a humanoid bird, and Crouch, a humanoid black panther looked at each other and then nodded. They felt Izumi was too arrogant. So, they immediately took action.

Meanwhile, behind them, a guy with unkempt hair and spiraling glasses with a lab coat spelled out something.

"Come, my children!"

A horde of zombies suddenly swarmed out toward him. When Izumi looked at those zombies, he spat out.

"Dammit. They're so fucking disgusting!"

Disgusted by hordes of zombies. Izumi immediately released his spiritual power to imbue the sword he was holding which made the air even colder and caused his strength to increase sharply as well.

Due to Izumi's cold aura, he created thick snow around himself thanks to the martial arts he learned.

"Haaaa!!!!"

Izumi swung his sword and created a mini avalanche that instantly wiped out the zombie horde. Luckily, he was still holding back. If he released all of his power. Perhaps all of the Gabranth race in front of him would also be almost wiped out because there were many common soldiers there.

Barid and Crouch who saw what happened frowned. They couldn't stay still and immediately came forward. Barid attacked from mid-air, Crouch from the ground. Barid threw his feathers like throwing knives.

"Interesting ability." Izumi commented on Crouch's power. Somehow, Crouch's power was similar to a Logia Devil Fruit. Though, it wasn't as strong as a Devil Fruit power.

At that moment, Barid launched himself to attack Izumi from above. It was just, Barid was too noisy. So, Izumi couldn't help but notice Barid at that very moment.

Izumi teleported into Barid's back. In that instance, he grabbed Barid's head and slammed him to the ground.

*Bang*

Not content with just that, Izumi stabbed both of Barid's wings swiftly. Then slashed all four of Barid's limbs to immobilize him.

From the first exchanges, it was clear that Izumi's ability was superior to theirs. And it was a complete crush.

Izumi turned in a certain direction. He said, "If you don't want him to die, then take him away from here! Otherwise, I will make you both fall on this bridge together."

He felt that if Izumi wanted to kill them, it would be very easy for him given his strength which was almost on par with Aquinas. If Aquinas could use his magic against Izumi, maybe Aquinas had the upper hand. But if it's like Teckil said that Izumi has an eye that can negate magic just like his Demon Eyes. He wasn't sure he could beat Izumi.

Izumi himself was quite stunned while his breath was getting heavy. However, he still carried on. He could feel the most powerful person behind slowly approaching him while waiting for him to destroy the bridge.

"Hehe, don't disappoint me! I know that the demon lord wanted to destroy the bridge. If you don't save me after I destroy this bridge, it will be like a slap on her face."

"Haaaaaah!"

Izumi unleashed the power within the sword, following after, he created a huge avalanche and a blizzard with Izumi at the center. Then, spread out to destroy the bridge.

*Crack* *Bang*

The frozen bridge cracked and crumbled in an instant.

Izumi, who couldn't move, started falling into the giant river below the bridge. He could only close his eyes and wait for Aquinas who seemed to be flying toward him.
