6. Fruitful Training

Izumi read the content of the scroll after being converted into a pdf. Internal energy, chakra path, etc. It was too confusing for him.

"No wonder everyone hasn't learned it yet. There's no way someone would learn it right away. Hmmm, wait a moment! There's nothing impossible. Superpowers exist, supernatural exist, Ninjutsu exists, magic exists, and even science fiction also exists. It means, as long as I understand this scroll. I can learn Ninjutsu too."

In class, he didn't even pay attention to the teacher. His head was brainstorming. In other words, he tried to comprehend all the contents inside the scroll.

Still, even after wasting so much time. He couldn't understand the thing called the chakra container.

"Hold on! Let me check if something like this has similarities with that thing."

He immediately browsed for something he wanted to know. If he remembered correctly, there was something called internal energy in Chinese martial arts since the dynastic era. If internal energy was more or less the same as a chakra container. Then, there would be progress in learning a kind of power that couldn't have existed in his previous life.

"Hmmm, meditating to concentrate and calming the mind, emptying the mind and soul to unite with the earth, feeling and generating internal energy which is located below the navel. When I have felt the energy that appears below the navel, that's when I have to start manipulating the energy. But the description of manipulating energy is so vague. Looks like I have to find my own way."

After reading many articles or the like, he deduced the possible facts to help him manipulate the chakras in his body. The location of the chakra container is the same as the internal energy point. So according to Izumi, the two didn't have a significant difference.

When he meditated, he couldn't concentrate at all. It seemed he needed a quiet place to meditate. He thought of a suitable place, but he could only wait until school was over.

When it was lunchtime, he didn't know what happened to his eyes which seemed to be glancing at Hori Kyouko on their own as she walked out of the classroom with her friend, Yuki.

He thought.

"Am I in love with her?"

But then, he shook his head.

"Forget it! Maybe I'm having a lot of thoughts that make my head go weird." Izumi said in his mind. Then he walked out of the class and went to the cafeteria.

After school was over, he immediately went home.

Different from when he was in school, his appearance was like a delinquent. A sleeveless shirt showing a tattoo on his left upper arm, several piercings on his ears, lips, and nose, and shoulder-length hair in a small ponytail.

Well, there might be a misconception about the concept of delinquency between Asia and the EU or the US. Asian people tend to be considered good if they have a neat appearance, whether at school, at work, or outside. When people saw a man who wore piercings, dyed hair, or tattooed body parts, he would definitely be considered a delinquent.

Even so, having a delinquent appearance didn't bother him at all.

As he had planned, he went to a nice place so he could meditate calmly.

In the prefecture he is currently living in, there are many lakes scattered throughout the prefecture. And basically, the lake is the calmest and most comfortable place. Therefore he intended to use one of the lakes as a place to meditate.

Izumi calmly sat down at the place surrounded by a big tree and bush. Then, he began to meditate. He concentrated and looked for a way to feel the internal energy.

15 minutes…

30 minutes…

45 minutes…

An hour…

Two hours…

Three hours…

With calm and patience, finally, after spending three hours, he began to feel the warmth inside his body, exactly 3 inches below his navel.

Step by step, he controlled and manipulated the energy inside his body. Then guide that energy to flow throughout his body. When he remembered the chakra path was somehow similar to meridians. So he tried to let the energy flow through his meridians.

At first, it failed, then he needed to repeat the process of guiding the energy. He tried over and over until his energy drained. He breathed heavily, then rested for a while.

After recovering a bit of his strength, he went back to doing it again. This time, he felt that the energy he was circulating throughout the meridians in his body was a little smoother than before.

He smiled.

He felt, that spending hours just because of this kind of thing was not in vain. His hard work had paid off.

Even though he couldn't use Ninjutsu now, at least the meditation was useful for increasing his strength.

"Fuh. Even though I can't do it now. There's still tomorrow. Furthermore, my progress can be said to be smooth sailing."

He wanted to test how much his strength had increased. Double? Triples? Fourfold?

With all his strength, he took a stance, then unleashed a mid-air punch that was aimed at the leaves of the tree with his right hand.

*Swoosh*

Although not very strong, the gust of wind caused by the shockwave from his blow could be seen from the movement of the leaves. It seemed his strength could be counted as triples to fourfold of an adult man.

Izumi continued to train. It was just, this time he trained how to fight. He imitated the technique from any of the modern martial arts such as karate, taekwondo, Pencak silat, etc.

After all, there was no reason not to learn those martial arts techniques. Basic fists techniques or basic kicking techniques were useful as those techniques could be used for his own fighting style.

Izumi tried to comprehend and adjust those techniques to make them suit him since each person had a different style.

Unknowingly, the relentless practice caused him to lose track of time. He was a little surprised when it was already nine o'clock. His stomach suddenly rumbled even though he didn't feel hungry before. After that, he immediately returned home as soon as he recovered some of his strength.

While on his way, Izumi opened the chat group app and texted Kakashi to bring something that both of them might need for the mission, especially weapons.

When Izumi arrived home, his mother Iori welcomed him. Though, she was slightly angry because he went out till now without telling her.

Izumi had dinner alone because her mother had already eaten. After eating, his mother sat beside him.

"How is your school?" Iori asked with concern. She knew that Izumi didn't have a friend in middle school. Izumi always changed the topic whenever she asked about his friend. That was quite worrying.

"There's nothing special, really."

"Can you make a friend? Or is your communication so bad that you can't make friends?"

Izumi sighed.

"It's not like I refuse to make friends. Does mother know the phrase, "considered friends to be used, then discarded"? If possible, I would like to avoid that. Because that's what happened when I was in middle school."

"Eh?"

Iori was dumbfounded. Izumi just shook his head. Then he stood up to get back to his room. He never told what happened to him when he was still in middle school. So, his statement shocked her.

Iori wanted to call out to him, but Izumi had already disappeared from her sight.

Inside his room, he swiped the screen of his phone while murmuring.

"Seriously, there's no Anisong Queen in this world? There's no Vocaloid either. Haah. It seemed I could only download their songs on my phone using this Complete mode."

But then, he had a crazy thought due to the absence of Anisong Queen and Vocaloid in his current world.

"Should I research how to make a voice synthesizer software? Virtual Idols will be quite a sensation if I can create them pretty well."

For now, he put aside his crazy thoughts first. He could learn coding or something later if he had the time, or maybe he could learn technology from Tabane who was the first genius he knew.
