Raiden and the group came across a gigantic force of the Flesh-Eating Monsters. They had no idea what laid down at the other side of the turn. So, Raiden peeked through it and found out the literal hell right in front of his eyes.
The remaining group was unknown to the terror but the terror noticed them. All the monsters present in that street immediately turned around to look at Raiden. And, they all started moving toward the group.
Raiden peeked and immediately froze up all his movements. The rest of the group who was following his lead also stopped.
Raiden saw the march of the monsters coming toward him but in that tense situation he couldn't figure out what to do.
'Should we run? Or pretend we aren't even here? They are getting closer but it doesn't look like they have figured out that we are here. They don't look furiously mad.'
Several thoughts crossed his mind but the horde was getting closer and he had to make a decision about what they should do.
The group was waiting for a response from Raiden. Whether it is safe to move ahead or not. They needed the answer to that question.
Raiden finally turned around to face the rest of the group.
He looked at everyone's faces and silently put a finger on his lips indicating to not make any kind of noise.
Everyone understood the meaning of it and they knew it was going to happen sooner or later. Their heartbeat increased and they started breathing heavily.
But, Toshi stayed in his cool and Sheila kept herself as calm as possible.
Everyone was just glaring at Raiden as he had his finger on his lips and just then the big horde appeared from behind of Raiden.
Raiden put his hand down and turned around to face the incoming horde.
All five of them stayed on that road silently but only they knew how fast their heart was beating.
The sight that came in front of their eyes was horrible. All the monsters were in the worst condition ever. They were eaten from several different places on their body. Some did not have an ear, some didn't have a hand and some had their stomach opened up.
One could almost feel sorry for all of them because of such brutal state they were in. But, the sympathy would easily turn into fear as they would show their true nature. Which was killing and eating anyone on sight.
That's the same fear they all felt as they stood in front of the monsters and just helplessly witnessed them getting closer.
But, Raiden was up for the battle. He had one of his hands on his sword and was ready to unleash it if necessary.
He wanted all the monsters to just pass them unnoticed but was also ready to fight back if the monsters attacked them.
It was now a situation to wait and find out.
The monsters spread all over the crosswalk but the majority of them were coming to the street in which Raiden and others were standing.
The front-most monster in the horde was approaching Raiden.
Raiden was also ready to face it.
Both, Jun and Sheila had machetes in their hands while Toshi and Raiden had their sword inside the scabbard which was stuck by their waist inside the belt.
Toshi and Raiden were ready to use their swords anytime but Jun and Sheila were not confident enough that they would want to go against the monsters with their machetes.
The monster got closer to Raiden and he patiently awaited the monster.
Everyone's heartbeat was skyrocketing. They all just wanted the monsters to pass through them without making the situation worse for them.
The monster finally reached Raiden.
Raiden didn't flinch from his spot.
The monster got even closer to his neck as if he wanted take a bite out of it right now. Raiden had to shift his upper body away so that he would not touch the monster.
The monster grawled and clacked his teeth to give an immense fear to Raiden.
He was hanging on the edge by a rope. The others looking at him got scared as hell.
Toshi got his hands on his sword and was ready to take action.
But, Raiden didn't flinch. Not at all. He stopped his breath to stay completely still in front of the monster. Any kind of noise could be the trigger for their doom.
The monster clacked his teeth multiple times around Raiden but then took away his gaze and started moving past him as if Raiden was not there.
Raiden finally let go of his breath. He breathed in and out. He followed the moments of the monster from his eyes and saw him passing all of them.
The monster passed the group completely ignoring all of them.
They were relieved to some extent. But, it was still scary to look ahead and witness the big horde of monsters coming toward them.
But, it started going well as all the monsters started passing the group by ignoring them.
Raiden witnessed the horde of the monsters as they passed by them. He turned his head to look behind him to check on how things were going.
They were smoothly passing by the rest of the group too.
Raiden stood right by the wall so the monsters were not coming that much toward him. But, Toshi was the furthest away from the wall and a lot by the centre of the street so he was getting the most amount of monsters.
But, monsters passed by his side too and some who collided with him changed their way and went around him. He was having to deal with a lot of the monsters right at his face but he didn't flinch at all.
Raiden felt relieved that it was Toshi who was there and he was able to deal with all the monsters coming at him.
Jun stood the closest to Raiden and due to being closer to the wall not a lot of the horde came at him but he was able to stay at his cool from what came at him. He was definitely a lot more scared and nervous but he held all that in and stood completely silent.
Sheila, who was in the centre of the group. She handled the situation calmly too. She was scared too but she held her grounds.
Everything was going great until Raiden noticed how Makie was doing.
Her eyes were wide open and she was breathing heavily. She stood still and the monsters were passing her, some also went by touching her but she did not show any kind of response to any of that. She looked paranoid and lost.
She was silent but Raiden knew the silence would not remain for much longer.
Just like what happened in the school where Makie screamed out in fear after witnessing just a single monster. But, this time, there was a whole big horde right in front of them.
The terror which she had lived inside the school returned back to her.
She had gone into a state of panic and Raiden feared the worst-case scenario in that situation.
Which was Makie losing her cool and screaming in the middle of the biggest monster horde they had ever seen.
