Chapter 41: Lily's Concerns

Lily was checking her phone from time to time to see if Jasmine had woke up. She sent her a message in the morning, asking Jasmine to call her when she woke up. Lily could not concentrate at work, as she kept thinking about Jasmine.

Lily could sense that Jasmine felt Rayan’s jealousy when he knew about Sue. Lily noticed how miserable Jasmine looked yesterday, even after she spoke to Rayan.

Lily’s suspicions about Rayan’s intentions grew bigger after their lunch yesterday. Part of her mind told Lily, let Jasmine get what she deserved, but her heart could not handle seeing her best friend suffering.

Alex passed by Lily & Jasmine’s office and noticed that Jasmine was not there. He entered the office, “Hey there. Where is your buddy?” He said.

Lily looked away from her phone to face Alex and said, “Hi. Jasmine is not well today. I left her sleeping.”

“Mmm, so she is still your buddy.” Alex wondered with a curious look.
