Chapter 35

In the midst of all the chaos Joe heard a faint voice call out to him.

"Joe!" that voice was familiar, it was Caroline she was hiding behind a leather couch, Joe stopped and waved her over.

"Let's go!" He shouted, this caught the attention of the hooded men. She saw them target Joe and sprinted up after him, Joe dodged an incoming crossbow bolt and then a gunshot and Caroline had ran past him, grabbing hold of his hand and leading him toward the stairs.

"What is going on!? She was crying now while running "They killed Karen and Zoë!"

"I don't know who those guys are but I know we have to get off this ship! Follow me to the dock!" Joe said while taking the lead down the stairs. They made it to the docks where thankfully there were no hooded men but unfortunately there were also no ferries. There were people jumping in the water swimming towards the island and there were others crouched down crying.
