You know im kept seeing DXD fanfics their MC be issei this like my 20-40 time im seeing a MC as issei are all you author obsessed with issei? i wanted a real answer here ?! Im not complaining much on the novel but the MC choosing Anyways the MC going to be wimp he going being follow every order that rias say right i bet he going to follow the order of sirzech too
I don't know about other authors, but my reasoning to do it like this for this story is simply because I didn't want to make an OC, and Issei was a convenient and easy choice for an MC. As for there being too many Issei-centric stories, I don't know what to tell you, I think it should be obvious with him being the protagonist from the original show. Also, I've seen plenty of stories where the MC isn't him, granted the majority of them is at fanfiction dot net, so if you're looking for something like that, you might find some of them there.

good start, for me as long as he's not an idiot (pervert that if he went anywhere, he wouldn't end up with any woman), dense, and with the intelligence at least at the normal level for me it's fine. and him being in the peerage of rias for me is not bad (some complain that he is like a slave, but it is seen that throughout the anime, if this was more serious, he could basically deal, because the decisions end up turning around of it and in its actions.
