Second time was when I saw my mom and dad fighting for the first time , it was just... a sad sight to see...

"Argh why do we've to walk there? Sector-26 is like 15 minute away from here."

As always Heli was pissed , she kicked the small stone infront of her to vent some of her anger out. Meanwhile Jeff didn't pay any attention to her tantrum and said ,

"You know sometimes I just look at the sky during night , the stars twinkling in the dark makes me think of..."

Unlike her normal self who was always filled anger Heli was interested in knowing what Jeff had to say.

"... Thighs."

She was disappointed. And surprisingly she wasn't disappointed by what Jeff said , but was disappointed in herself.

'What did I even expect from this pervert?'

"I look at the sky and imagine myself being choked in the pair of thighs. It's so weird you know , I mean they're just bones covered with fat meat and flesh. And yet I prioritise it above my career sometimes."

Jeff didn't say anything weird... from his point of view.

"Like Conor has thighs , I've thighs. But when I look Heli's thighs I just... feel different."

It would've been straight up sexual harrasment if Heli was just a random girl walking infront of him , but Heli was no stranger for him and it still counted as sexual harrasment.

"Just knowing that thighs exists make me happy..."

His eyes were fixed on Heli's legs when he talked about thighs , luckily she was wearing jeans which fully covered her legs which kind of made a bit less embarrassing.

For some reason hearing Jeff's remarks about her thighs made her...

'F*ck. Why do I feel so hot right now? Isn't it raining?'

"Hey Conor , don't you agree with me?"

A smile appeared on Heli's face when she heard the question Jeff asked to Conor.

"Hah! There's no way Conor is that type of guy."

After being friends with him for years she knew what kind of guy he was , Conor was the person who everyone in the group trusted. He would keep everyone's secret to himself , if their was any fights in between the group he would come in and solve it with just few words.

"Conor , tell her..."

"I'm telling you there's no way he-"

"I like thighs."

'Crack'

Something cracked in Heli's body , never in her whole life did she felt this betrayed.

"Yes! That's right. You heard it , right Heli?"

"..."

"Why is it that weird though?"

"That's what I'm saying Conor , it shouldn't be that weird. Men like thighs.

Heli turned back and started walking towards the base with her lifeless body , she was left speechless after hearing Conor's words.

Like that time passed until they reached their destination , on their way Jeff continued talking about... thighs.

"Hey , both of you. Come over here fast."

Jeff and Conor who were following Heli ran to her to see what the matter was. And the sight surely surprised them , the base was supposed to located near the sewers in the outskirts of Sector-26 but at the entrance of sewer three of them could see 3 men and 2 women lying on the ground.

"Did someone knock them out? Let's go near them and find out."

Conor and Jeff nodded and then jumped down the bridge , before going near them Jeff closed his eyes and joined his hands. His left index finger touching his right index finger and the same for his thumb and pinky finger.

With the eyes closed a normal person would see nothing , but as a psychic he had the power to control waves and manipulate then as he wanted.

In the dark space circular thin strings started forming around his head , they multiplied at an unbelievable speed until it covered about 2m radius around him.

"I've put a barrier up so be around me , also how much time did it took this time?"

Conor said ,

"It took about 50 seconds , that's still good for psychic you know."

"Yeah , I've been training a bit these days."

Even though he said that Jeff wasn't impressed by his performance.

'It still take 50 seconds , it's still not enough.'

'Blaargh'

Suddenly Heli vomitted and fell to her knees , Jeef ran to her and tried to get her up.

"What happened?!"

Meanwhile Conor analysed the situation calmly and said ,

"Jeff , we've to quickly get out of here."

Confused Jeff looked at the body lying on the ground and realised why Conor said to leave.

"The way this sinner died... it's definitely his doing. The killer mentioned in the news , it has to be him. You two get out of here , I need to do something."

Heli was still shocked as it was her first time seeing a dead body , one of the rule the group created was to never kill. It made sense , they were the people supposed to act like heroes killing a mutant even if it was sinner was not the example they wanted to set.

"Conor he might be around here. I think we should get out of here as soon as possible."

"It's something important Jeff , also I'll able to get alive out of it even if the killer comes."

"Are you sure it's worth risking?"

"Yup"

Jeff gave up on arguing as he knew that Conor wouldn't make such dumb decision without a good reason.

"Okay , we'll leave. But... don't stay here for too long."

Saying that Jeff gave Heli his shoulder and left Conor behind.

"Hey , I'm okay. It was just the body... anyways I'm fine now so let go of me."

"Just shut up and walk!"

The always smiling Jeff sounded a bit angry for some reason , which was why Heli didn't say anything further and continued walking with him.

"Finally , I got my hands on one of his victims."

After seeing the photos of the victims that the mysterious killer killed , Conor was interested to know what type of mutant the killer was. Was the killer a physical? or was it a psychic? What kind of enhancement did the killer have to create kill those people so easily?

'Hah , let's get started.'

"Retreat!"

Looking at Sara who was far away from him Haki shouted telling her to retreat.

"Is something wrong?"

Sara was confused as to why Haki was telling her to leave , a few minutes she was in his arms until they reached their destination. Haki went ahead after dropping her a bit far from the base to check the number of sinners at the entrance.

But as soon as he reached near the entrance she heard Haki shouting for her to leave.

"I'll tell you later , just leave. I'll follow you."

Even though Sara was confused she believed in Haki's orders , as the leader all the decisions he made were in the group's favour. This is why Sara didn't question his orders and said ,

"Okay , be careful."

'The blood is still...'

"Fresh. He must be in there."

Standing before the dead body of the sinner Haki looked at the entrance of the building , he entered the building and located the basement mentioned in Rin's information.

'It's him. The sinner b*stard who went on rampage and kille many people.'

Walking down the stairs he reached the wide basement , it was as Sara said the basement was like a floor in itself. The blinding light showed him more dead bodies of the sinners.

'If it's him...'

'Tap Tap'

He walked on the path covered in blood , while ignoring the lifeless bodies he on the sides.

'Maybe I can serve Justice by killing him'

A smile appeared on his face while he thought of killing the mysterious killer.

'Tap Tap'

That smile continued until he heard the footsteps of another person coming from his back.

"It was you , wasn't it?"

With just a single glance at him Haki could tell that the person that killed all these sinners and was on yesterday's news was the man standing before him.

"Why did you kill those innocent people?"

"..."

"These sinners even they don't deserve to die."

"..."

"So why did you do it? Was it fun to kill?"

The man infront of him finally replied ,

"Yeah"

"Huh? You killed them cause it was fun?"

"That's what I desired , so I killed them."

'Hahahaha'

For some reason Haki found it funny when he heard the man say those words. His laughter echoed around the whole empty basement , the blinking light finally showed the man's face.

Neither smiling nor crying , with not a single of his face muscle moving the man wore a stoic expression. His black hair covered with a small cap and black eyes looking right into Haki's eyes.

It was Krev.

'Clack'

The moment Haki stopped laughing he felt something hitting the back of his neck , he reaching for his neck and felt something wet on his hands.

'Blood?'

"Not bad. What are you? A Tier 7?"

Krev's attack somehow didn't get through Haki's skin.

"Did you really killed all those people with that kind of attack?"

'Sorry mysterious killer , but you're on the wrong side.'
