When all had finished eating, Kevin, Cheryl, and Edmond stayed around the table as the others congregated around the holovision for the Wasp game.
"More coffee?" asked Cheryl.
"Indeed," replied Edmond as Kevin nodded.
"Edmond, I wanted to talk to you about April," Cheryl said. "I told her she would be receiving a punishment for stealing that dongle and time-traveling on company grounds."
"While she's living in your home, whatever you feel is best," he replied. "I leave it in your capable hands. You did a good job with your own kids. Only, the thought of losing her as I lost my dear wife terrifies me."
"Yes, that's what I wanted to talk about too," said Cheryl. "April has requested to join National so she can train on the proper use of time-travel."
"What? NO!" he bellowed.
"Dad, are you all right?" came April's voice from the front room.
"Yes, sweetie, stay in there," he ordered.
