Really good and enjoyable chapter. To the point I am annoyed with myself for having one potential flaw glaring so hard that I couldnt ignore it. I could very much be wrong but in my head because of it being a whip user it just stood out so glaringly. It has him facing her and while she may not be up under him shes definitely fairly close with her whip dart. He had the energy attack ready and fired it. Its traveling towards her and too fast for her nimble butt to dodge. No one was near which he was taking advantage of and Steppen wasnt there either initially. Yet Steppen on his obviously quick vehicle arrives. Sees the situation. Comes up with the solution. Fires off the attack at a fairly safe distance himself. The attack reaches her. Hits her and knocks her away from the attack. All before his attack can reach her. Everything was perfectly done but that with the whip user. I couldnt NOT see it being wrong because I automatically picture it while reading it. Basically automatically with all the reading I do I do it unconsciously at times. Idk maybe Wolfs energy attacks are just really really fast. That's an answer I suppose. Wonder what will happen with the Furies. I vaguely recall women fanfics with Barda changing sides. Getting married, even with Superman alongside Lois and the Queen. All of them were raised to be twisted killers though. So maybe something will happen with Barda being spared but I doubt any others will be. Every story I've seen that has them has them offed. Harley Quinn is a must have waifu by so many but none of these girls are by anyone I've come across that I can recall. Nor someone worth converting into a good guy.
I can see why that was confusing and inevitable since nobody can know what I thought about when writing this. Team Fury and Steppenwolf were specifically sent to take the MC down, so I had envisioned him lingering in the 'shadows', waiting to ambush him. He knew what was going on and would be instantly ready to assist. Although the Big Bang Attack seemed to have been fired instantly, it first condenses in front of the user's palm before being released. Steppenwolf, being ready on the side, saw the condensing attack and decided to help. So he fired his attacks just when the Mc was about to fire his attack. None of this could be seen because the Mc wasn't aware of his presence until he made himself noticeable. As for what will happen to the Furies, that is up to future me.
