Heading to Angora Kingdom 1

Rai's POV

We are traveling toward Sylthana Empire, which is located in the middle of this continent. They searched our wagon and our carriage before we could go inside. The knights allowed us to pass after they had completed their search. Using magic, the five beast men and the princess removed their disguises.

"Let's rest here for the night," I said while adjusting my cape.

"Yes, my lord." The princess knocked three times at the window. Raziel suddenly appeared.

"You called, princess?" Raizel.

"Take us to the Balven Inn."

"As you wish." Raizel closed the window, and the carriage was moving fast.

"Balven inn?" Drage asked a question.

"I do own that inn, yes. For business purposes, I constructed inns in every kingdom and empire."

"That sounds cool." Oswald.

"Thank you."

'Knock, knock, knock.' The princess opened the window and saw Raziel's face.

"We have arrived, your highness." With a simple nod, the princess helped them quickly don a disguise. I went after them, having gone first. Our belongings were being organized by the mages and knights.

There was nobody inside the inn when we arrived. No humans are visible within the inn, only Raziel and the maid of the princess were present.

"Raziel, please take the lord to the fancy room. He'll be having a rest."

"But how about them?" As the beast men were organizing their belongings, I gestured toward them.

"My lord, you don't need to be concerned. To make sure you're safe, we're going outside to patrol." Leighton spoke as he bowed slightly and rested his right hand on his left shoulder.

"That's right, my lord. Please have a rest, since we will have a rough day tomorrow." Seymour said.

With a heavy sigh, I removed my cape, held my hands together, and closed my eyes.

"My gods, protect you," I said something. I pivoted and trailed behind Raziel. In addition, I could hear them say "thank you" in a happy voice.

"We're here, my lord." She said and opened the door.

Everything gleamed. Gold shines through on the floor, ceiling, walls, and even the objects.

"Is there anything you want, my lord?" The princess asked.

"None, you can go now."

"Then I'll be taking my leave. I hope you enjoy your stay, my lord."

"Thanks." The door closed. After setting down my bag, I headed to the restroom. I stopped for a moment and got dressed properly. I'm currently wearing short sleeves that are basic white with the two top buttons undone. I had boots and black pants on my lower body.

I opened the door silently and looked at both side to see if anyone was around. I went to the dining room to get some food after noticing that nobody was there. I heard the princes and the beast men were having a conversation as I made my way downstairs.

"What can I do for you, my lord?" I was taken aback when Raziel appeared in front of me.

"Uhm... I would like to have dinner, but it seems you have a visitor." I was curious about who were they talking to since it looked like it was important.

"Don't worry, my lord, I will bring dinner to your room."

"Sure, thanks."

"Then I shall guide you back to your room." Raizel.

"*Shakes head* There's no need, just bring me my dinner."

"Yes, my lord." I pivoted and started strolling. As I ascended the stairs, I could still hear their voices. Returning to my room, I bided my time till Raziel arrived.

'Knock, knock, knock.'

"Come in." The door opened and saw Raziel pushing a tray cart. She puts it near the bed.

"After you're done eating my lord, you can put the tray outside the door."

"You can go now."

"Yes, my lord."

She shut the door quietly. After devouring the food, I moved the tray cart outdoors. I turned off the lights with my aura. I remained silent upon hearing someone grabbing the tray cart outside.

I squatted down on the bed, took a big breath and focused on myself.

"Ivy." There was a strong light in the whole space. Abruptly, I saw someone standing in front of me. Her right hand was on her left shoulder when she went to one knee.

"You called me, my lord?" she happily said.

"Head down and tell me who they are talking with."

"As you wish." I said, and she vanished. I have to take precautions before it's too late. After a few minutes of waiting, she appeared out of nowhere with a serious expression.

"What's the news?" I asked.

"He's not a threat, my lord." Ivy replied.

"Is he?"

"Yes, I found out he's the Imperial crown prince, Reeve Khidell Slythana."

"....."

"Don't worry, my lord. They didn't reveal your existence." Ivy.

"I see." I sighed in relief.

"They were simply conversing about the Kraken. They seem to have a strategy on how to defeat the Kraken."

"I see. You can go now."

"Yes." I laid myself on the bed and let the darkness engulf me.

'Chirp, chirp.'

'Chirp, chirp.'

I woke up early and refreshed myself.

'Knock, knock, knock.'

"Come in." I put on my cape and saw Raziel gently lower her head.

"It's time to depart, my lord." With a nod, I followed her. As we descended the stairs, I noticed the magicians and knights were occupied with packing various items. I saw that several new individuals were entering this group.

"Good morning, my lord." The beast men greeted me.

"Good morning." I said, while stretching my arms up.

"Where's the princess?" I asked.

"She's busy doing something, my lord." Pierce.

"Don't worry, my lord, she will catch up to us later." Oswald.

I only nodded before entering the carriage.

The carriage moved after they waited for a minute. I tried to concentrate as I closed my eyes. I closed my eyes and realized we had left the Sylthana Empire after an hour.

"Stop!" I yelled out, and the carriage halted.

"What's wrong, my lord?" Leighton.

I looked at them one by one and sighed.

"...."

"...."

"...."

"...."

"This is where we part ways."
