She apologizes to Adrian, yet only wants to live for her son? It’s not just her son but then again she basically stole him from his father. So not only did she abandon Adrian and break his heart she also stole his son away and stole his chance to be a father and experience Sam’s childhood with him. There’s not really an excuse for that. You don’t do that to someone you actually love regardless of what your rich father says.
