Laffy Taffy

The next morning Asher arrived at the sickbay with a dashing man in his early 30's.

Asher introduced the man as Dr. Talay Wayne, A doctor cum professor who majored in both Medicine and Psychology.

"Hi, you can call me Dr. or Prof. Wayne. You don't need to worry. I am just here to check up on you." He smiled gently as he took my wrists to check my pulse.

Rin watched as the doctor took her pulse, he carefully felt it, and then she saw him frowning before checking her pulse once again.

He continued this process repeatedly. This made both Asher and Rin worry. But both of them were worried for different reasons.

Asher thought that there was something wrong with her health. While Rin worried that Doctor found that there was something strange in her body.

Seeing the anxious looks on their faces. Dr. Wayne chuckled assuring them that there was nothing wrong with Rin's body.

" I was just Curious. Your body constitution is unique. Do you know about it beforehand? This constitution is quite rare." remarked Dr. Wayne in Awe.

"It runs in the family. People in my mother's family are said to have a similar constitution." Rin answered while trying to mask her amusement sensing his weird temperament.

"He has a weird fascination with unique Medical cases and conditions." Asher's hot breath landed on her neck as he whispered to her.

Rin moved away from him like a frightened bunny. A light blush painted itself on her cheeks making her seem cute and innocent.

Dr. Wayne felt jealous watching the interaction between the two. Seeing them reminded him of his University days.

A girl in a high ponytail and blue dress smiling widely entered his thoughts. He blinked his eyes shaking his head trying to shut her from his thoughts.

His mood plummeted instantly.

Rin and Asher felt the drop in his mood.

Rin immediately mustered up her brightest smile and gave more insight into her body constitution diverting him from his bad mood.

Talking about it instantly brightened up his mood.

Rin stared at his excited face. His passion and excitement felt oddly familiar to her. She couldn't help but feel a strange sense of familiarity.

"I have a Cousin similar in age with you who is a Doctor. I think you would hit it off with him."

"I was born in 1990. I would love to meet a Medical enthusiast like myself."

"That's a shame, he ran off from home 3 months ago, to god knows where?? to find some Ancient Medical Tribe. Mmm... what was it called some blue or white valley... "

"Green Valley !!! The Green Valley in the Fedora forest. Wow!!! I am so jealous. Even I wanted to go there but the school rejected my request for the holiday." Dr. Wayne turned green with envy.

" How about it I'll introduce him to you the next time he returns home, then you can have a deep discussion about your medical insights." Rin offered.

Talay Wayne bubbled up in excitement. He had always being Fascinated by anything that was related to Medicine since childhood. Finding someone who was equally as crazy as him was quite hard.

A guy who ran off in search of an Ancient Medicine tribe that was pretty much only mentioned in books was his cup of tea.

Asher was sitting on the window sill with both hands supporting his chins. He watched as the duo before him chatted animatedly with excited faces.

Seeing Rin looking pretty normal, Asher relaxed. He knew something was bothering her.

The previous day, he noticed how her face changed when Tristan and Aimen mentioned what happened in the glass box.

He knew she was hiding something. But all that doesn't matter unless and until it compromised her safety.

Asher had come into terms with his feelings, he knew what he felt for her was more than just friendship Heck..., they weren't even friends, to begin with.

He just always bickered and riled her up.

He was confused as to why he felt such intense emotions when it came to her.

All his calmness and rationality flew out of the windows when it came to her. It was like an instinct. He felt as if had loved her for a thousand years and more.

Dr. Wayne was reluctant to part with his new friend when it was time to leave.

After multiple reminders to keep in touch and constant threatening from Asher to get lost he reluctantly left.

The room turned quiet after Dr. Wayne's departure. An air of ambiguity rushed in making the atmosphere seem almost romantic.

It was the first time both of them were alone after the previous fiasco. They both knew some things had changed But choose to not acknowledge it.

Without speaking, both of them sat minding their business while painting a picture of harmony and peace.

At that moment, Asher seated at the corner of the sofa, playing with his phone suddenly looked up.

"Are you returning today?"

She knew he was talking about returning to the training of Phase-2.

Like the doctors mentioned, there was nothing wrong with her body now and she knew her body the best. She was fit and fine.

She nodded indicating that she would return to training today.

Asher had long realized the girl was pretty relentless and determined when it came to her decisions.

Seeing that there was nothing wrong with her, he had no reasons to hold her back.

He informed that Maya would soon arrive to help her freshen up and then she could leave here and resume training.

Loud footsteps could be heard and there was a knock on the door before it was yanked open revealing a very concerned Maya.

"Very good!! seeing that you haven't returned last night, I thought you were out with some wild guy.

"But I had to hear it from Kaya, someone I didn't even know existed until today that my best partner was lying in sickbay after passing out."

"Ryan....wait till you get in my hands. I'll let you taste my super punch."

Maya complained, immediately rushing to the bed and scanned to check for injuries and others on her body.

Rin felt dizzy under Maya's extensive observation.

A strong hand suddenly held her up steadying her.

Maya was shocked when she realized there was someone else in the room. She turned red in embarrassment.

Her gaze followed the hands until it met Asher.

"Mmmm, I see you are well now." trailed Maya mischievously.

"I'll leave now, take care!!" seeing Maya, he left while placing a pack of gums on the side table.

"How Romantic!!!!" gushed Mia teasing Rin.

Under Maya's relentless teasing words Rin freshened and packed up to leave.

As the girls walked back to the base, passer-by could see a girl teasing the other poking and pinching her cheeks while the other ignored her while swatting her arms away.

In a well-lighted room, furnished luxuriously while priceless antiques and numerous books adorned the shelves. The revealed an air of Nobility and Luxury.

At this moment, the messenger soaked in sweat regretted being the unlucky one who had to report the Young master's whereabouts.

On the sofa, the man's eyes became increasingly gloomy and he had an unwavering severity on his chiseled face. He looked like a demon walking out from the depths of hell, especially on this dark, blood-filled night.

The aloof teenager standing on the other side of the man narrowed his eyes and looked at the messenger with a hint of warning in his eyes.

"Hmm..... Very interesting." the man drawled while a dark look enveloped his face.
