A gift

“SMUGGLING.” she was loud due to the shock she felt in her spine. “Yeah, not only just Korean herbs but opium as well and that is definitely not for good purposes.” she widened her eyes more.

She could not be more bewildered in her life. “Opium.” she repeated in a whisper.

“Yes, Opium. People like him are greedy for power and money. My investigation team also found that the downfall of Choi Co. Ltd. was because of them as well. Since it was not a powerful and big production, they were tackled easily and could not do anything.” Yoo-Na felt bad hearing that.

“I am impressed that you guys made your distance with them in time or else things might have turned out to be too dirty by now.” he said arching his right eyebrow.

Yoo-Na’s heart flipped. He was looking too hot and sexy arching his eyebrow and not to forget those tight clothes she had made him wear, looking at her dreamy eyes Ji-Hoon sighed shaking his head. “Focus.” he put pressure on the s of focus.

She blinked twice to get her composer back and sat properly again. “I will be going to Choi Sung-Guk’s house tomorrow to discuss this matter and ask for help. Are you willing to join me?” he asked, not knowing that the fish was ready to get caught by herself.

“This is mainly our problem and you are still helping us, I will definitely go with you plus I can’t miss any chance to have a date with you.” she winked at him and he sniggered shaking his head. “Focus on this matter first.” Yoo-Na protruded her lips hearing that.

They were interrupted by the waiter who came to serve their dishes.

They finished their meal while planning the next day's visit.

Making sure that no one other than Yoo-Na, Ji-Hoon, and his team knew about their plan, they reached Choi Sung-Guk’s house, not to mention that they also had to lose their house and now were living in a small community.

Still, the house was decent.

Ji-Hoon knocked on the door and a boy who must be in his early twenties opened the door. He squinted his eyes at the unknown yet somewhat familiar faces. “Yes, who is it?” the boy asked them.

Instead of answering the young lad’s question, Ji-Hoon asked, “Is Mr. Choi Sung-Guk at home?” the lad squinted his eyes at them and when he felt there was no harm, he opened the door widely. “Yes, dad is home. You can come in.” he offered.

Ji-Hoon and Yoo-Na went inside the house. The lad made them sit on the sofa in the lounge and went to call his father.

Not even a minute passed and Choi Sung-Guk came to them. “Oh, Shim Ji-Hoon. I did not expect you to be here.” he said as Ji-Hoon and Yoo-Na stood up from the sofa to greet him.

Both of them bowed slightly and shook hands with him one by one. Sung-Guk sat down on the single sofa beside the large one where Ji-Hoon and Yoo-Na sat.

Without any further due Ji-Hoon explained to him about everything. “Look child, I am pretty satisfied with my life but being able to give my children a promising future. I am ready to help you in whatever way I can.” he said giving a warm smile to them.

They looked at each other and nodded while smiling back at him.

Suddenly someone came into the hall while running. “Give my cell phone back.” one more voice was heard.

Yoo-Na and Ji-Hoon looked up and saw two young boys. “Hey! Sung-Yeol save me.” the taller one was running and shouting, he had a cell phone in his hand, which seemed to belong to the one running behind him.

One more guy came running to them, who was slightly shorter than both of them. The tallest one threw the cell phone towards him and he caught it in the air.

The guy who was in the middle, who opened the door for Yoo-Na and Ji-Hoon looked too frustrated that he might pull out all his hair by any time.

“Sung-Hoon, what is it?” the guy who is supposedly Sung-Yeol, threw the phone back towards the tallest one.

“She sent some messages to Big bro.” he snickered and threw the cell phone again towards the guy named Sung-Yeol again.

“What is happening?” Choi Sung-Guk said loudly and all three of them became statues in their places.

They gulped facing their father. Sung-Guk tilted his head, looking at them with an arching eyebrow. “Sorry.” the three of them said in unison, slightly bowed, and then ran towards a random direction, vanishing from the lounge.

Sung-Guk awkwardly laughed looking back at Yoo-Na and Ji-Hoon. “Sorry for the disturbance.”

Ji-Hoon snickered and shook his head. “It’s completely fine.” he smiled as those three reminded him of himself and his brothers. “Then we will get going, I will send you all the details.” Ji-Hoon stood up followed by Yoo-Na, they shook their hands with Choi Sung-Guk and left from there.

(Continuing from chapter number 97...)

“Anything wrong?” Yoo-Na asked Ji-Hoon who kept shuffling through the pages of the file.

But he just shook his head in denial. “Everything seems to be fine.” he said but his facial expressions were saying something else. “I just want things to be smooth. I wonder if the news will pass from the business event to Kang-Joon.” Ji-Hoon wondered.

“It surely will, if he can manipulate our accounting charts then there is no way, he would not be able to get the news.” Yoo-Na said rolling her eyes and Ji-Hoon just hummed still focusing on his work.

Yoo-Na stood up from the chair and walked towards him. She pecked his cheek and then pulled away. “A gift to help me and my family.” she slightly laughed and turned to get back to her seat.

She could not see how Ji-Hoon smiled while caressing his cheek where her lips landed since her back was facing him. Maybe it was the time Ji-Hoon had genuinely started to acknowledge that he really felt something towards her.
