Hazel couldn't believe what she'd just heard. The numbness that swept over her was unexpected. In fact, she stared at Yuka, stunned to silence. The beautiful man in front of her was engaged to another woman. Hazel had never hated the word 'fiancee' so much, until this moment.

"I'm sorry, Hazel. This just isn't something that can be helped" Yuka said, gazing at Hazel who stared at him with wide brown eyes.

"She's your fiancee?" She breathed and Yuka sighed, running his fingers through his hair. "Yes"

"So, this is it? This is where it all ends?" She said, her voice cold. Yuka felt his heart sink.

"Hazel..."

"You can leave now," Hazel stated calmly. Her expression was nothing short of schooled. Silently, he walked right through the door, his heart hurting. He felt absolutely terrible. He felt like the situation had gone from bad to worse. But, it was time to face the reality he'd been running away from.
