CHAPTER NINE - It All Ends

Here we go again. So, let's see. Um, where did I end? Oh, I remember.

Dad: Sorry, you found me when I was cooking.

Mr. K: Yes, we're sorry to have come unannounced, there's just an issue that has come up between one of our children and yours.

Dad: Mm hmm.

Mr. K: Uh, yes, so I found some messages between your son, Gabriel and Selena.

Like I said in the previous chapter, I ended their conversation there. When I went back to the passage, I heard Mr. K telling my father that Selena and I were planning to meet up in the bedroom and the like. Mr. K told my father that he would send the screenshots of the messages to him.

They continued talking and even changed the topic and all to other things. A few minutes later, they left and my dad remained in the kitchen where Michael and Esther went. He asked them who their partners were because he also wanted to know if they were dating.

Just a few seconds after that, my father called me, "Gabriel!" "Yes!" I responded but he didn't say anything else after what I said, so I just had to go.

I went to the kitchen and my father asked if Selena was my girlfriend. He kept quiet, waiting for my response and I clearly remember, I was standing behind him smiling and answered him, "yes".

Shortly after that, he told me to sit down and spoke to me. I don't remember our exact conversation but I just remember him saying, "It's okay to have girlfriends but not where you want to be meeting up secretly to do things. Even us, in our times, we had a very big house and we'd bring our friends in the house and sit in the TV room, prepare food and eat and watch. That, you can do, not where you plan on meeting up secretly, to do what?"

After that he said, "Wait for your mother to come back so that she also has a say in this. Bring your phone and open up your chat, I want to see who was encouraging the other or behind it all."

I told him that my phone was not booting up so I took it to the dining room, where he was also doing his work from and that's where the phone booted and I told myself to prepare for the worst. He told me to open Instagram and show him the chat.

I opened Instagram and to my shock, my first 7 chats were gone. Like they weren't there. Completely deleted and he started accusing me saying, I deleted the chats. I even told him that how would I have done that when my phone wasn't booting up. I even told my mother and Michael about it. They were my witnesses.

He then started scrolling through other chats on my Instagram, not opening them though, but asking who certain people were. It seemed that error saved me but the thing was, some of my recent files were gone, some applications too and WhatsApp messages.

As he was scrolling, someone called. The caller ID was, "SK" My dad told me to take my phone and answer it, then stopped me and asked who SK was and I told him, it's Selena. He let me answer it. She called on her aunt's phone by the way. I saved the number I could text her on as "Mi Amor" and her aunt's, I saved as "SK"

I went to my room and answered her call. I recorded our call but lost the recording because that same week, my phone finally died. So we spoke for about 47 minutes. She told me that her parents found out and I told her I know, they were just here.

She told me that her father asked if she has slept with me or if I've slept with her (I don't know what the difference is) and she said, "No" Which is true.

He asked her if I'm a Christian. I mean when she told me this, my reaction was "Wow" he seriously thought I'm not a Christian. I'm a full time, Born again, soon to be baptized Christian. I mean look at me, do I look like I'm not a Christian? He also told her that Esther should stop going to their place.

Anyway that's the time I told Selena to be more careful next time and she said the words or sentences I never thought I'd hear. The tone in her voice changed and I could tell her eyes were misty as she said, "No, Gabriel, there's no next time." I was planning on taking the risk to continue dating her even if her parents already knew.

She then started crying and said, "I think it's time to end things." She's the risk taker and I didn't expect her to say that. I paused for a second, or two, or three and said in a calm voice, which I never use, "Oh, ok." She still promised to come back some day, and I told her I'd wait for her because I don't think I can love anyone else again. One thing you should know is, never trust a male, unless that male is me. Hehe.

Anyway, let's continue this elsewhere.
