Why do I get the feeling he's about to learn another Dao? I do find it odd that he's making so many pills with such little change in recipe. I could have sworn that he had an ability to improve recipes by making small changes during the pill making process. with making so many pills you would figure that a slight change might occur in the way he's doing it to speed up the process.... maybe I'm just thinking of things a little bit too hard. I eagerly await the next chapter.

The ability to improve recipes was for Common rank pills back when he reached True Realm. also, almost all of the pills he's making here are ones whose recipe he's already improved. he's doing a half-hearted job at it all, which is why the results aren't as good as they should be.

I like the ways he try to improve, aside from just “mindlessly” getting higher and higher harmony. But the reason is quite upsetting. The events that led to him being there, then the rules for entering the dao mountain could have been explained to him earlier, he ahould have requested himself joining, he could also finish the additional pills after the mountain, why does it have to be done previously? The sect could request additional pills in exchange for courtesy? It feels like they build a hamster wheel for him and he is running happily inside it. At the end he will either fail or reveal something he shouldn’t have and we going back to the same situation we had in the luminescent kingdom. It lessens the enjoyment I feel a bit.
