There’s a little too much emphasis on the trauma and act of killing. Especially for a boy who vividly relives a nightmare where he remembers and experiences slaughter and death on a nightly basis. Not to mention his numerous close contacts with death in the slums he undoubtably might’ve had. In this world, I find the value of human life to be great exaggerated in contrast to the circumstances and world they’re living in. Ravaged by war, slums where the lives are so neglected that they’re technologically behind decades. They trade with food for god sakes. That indicates terrible value of life and I find it a little frustrating how the MC is so affected by killing when by all means his life, upbringing and world arond him should indicate otherwise.
