{Book 1 has been completed.}

I stand up from the chair I'm sitting in, and I make my way to the couch. I close my eyes and dive into my mind. Going through my memories. I look at all the designs that I've come up with, and I skip to the one I'm using for Jess.

It's a starship that no one else will have, and it'll be my best work yet. It's a powerhouse in terms of damage output. Its shielding technology is something I'm really proud of. She will be the one to name the ship, so I don't have a name for it right now. It's only fair that the owner gets to name a custom starship.

You could make an argument that it's the other way around and the designer should be the namer, but it really comes down to preference. As I'm in my thoughts, I'm interrupted by a knock on the apartment sliding door.

I open my eyes and calm my mind down. "Come in!" It's likely Pleiknor or Meiklare. If it's not them, then it's Durado, but I bet he hasn't broken someone as stubborn as Ziller. It's only a matter of time, though. The sliding door opens, and they both walk in. I'm used to the height difference between them and me. It's still cool to see, though.

They walk up to the couch and stand in front of me. "We need your help again, Scott. The designs you gave us are brilliant, but we have no way of getting our hands on the parts needed. We are wondering if it's possible for you to modify the designs for parts that are easier to get." I thought this might happen.

Despite my design for their generator, the parts for the prototype would be too expensive. I hold out my hand for the tablet, and Meiklare hands it to me. I look at my blueprints, and I quickly modify the parts needed.

I was wrong in saying the parts are expensive. They're just expensive in the Empyrian system. The delivery costs are insane for the parts to get here.

I understand that perfectly. I run my fingers along the designs, replacing certain areas and parts. After a minute, I finish, and I hand the tablet back to them. "It's amazing to see such amazing talent in one so young. I'm really sorry that we dropped this on you, and we greatly appreciate it." I nod my head in acknowledgment of their words.

They go over the designs, and I can see the wonder in their alien eyes.

I've come to accept Pleiknor and Meiklare as friends. "Don't be afraid to ask me anything. I'd rather work on a project than sit here." They smile just a little before bowing and leaving the apartment. They are really great aliens.

I lean back on the couch, and this time I just stare up at the ceiling—no point in staying in the game if there is nothing to do. I open my player interface and log out. My eyes flutter open, and my gaming pod hisses open. It's still night here in the real world, and I see Jess is still asleep in my bed.

I walk over to the bathroom and quickly undress. I turn the shower on, and once it gets to a nice hot temperature, I hop in. I spend about 20 minutes in the shower just relaxing.

After I start to get pruney, I get out. I wrap a towel around my waist, and I walk out of the bathroom. I make my way towards the desk in my room, and I see Jess sitting up.

Looking at me with excitement. "I didn't take a shower for the reason you think, get your mind out of the gutter..." She frowns slightly but plops back down on the bed.

I sit in the chair at my desk with my towel still around my waist, and I turn on my desktop computer. I head to the newsletters regarding the exposure of the man that tried to steal my accomplishments.

I read that there are no updates. He's getting prosecuted for multiple crimes, which I knew would happen. The guy was an infamous con man, and if there is one thing you never do is mess with someone who can destroy your life from a keyboard.

The power of the internet is almost limitless. Everything is there, and if you know what you're doing. You can get anything.
