Drugs are dangerous.
They are detrimental to one's health. Physically and mentally. Please, whatever you are going through, do not resort to drugs, they are not an option.
Physically in the sense that it would completely change your features and turn you into a creature in-between human and a wild beast. And mentally, I believe I do not have to explain that.
Que stared at the man above her, and it only harden her resolve on staying as far away as possible from drugs.
That could only be the explanation to Zeus current behavior and a complete morph in facial features. He was stoned.
One of his hand was currently muffling her mouth while the other one was pressing her stomach, his breathing was laboured and he looked kinda...well, horny.
Tilting his head to the side, he sniffed the air around her like a wolf. At this point she strongly believed that he had turned his self into a guinea pig, testing out the drugs samples he made on himself and now the drug is acting up.
Her heart pounded loudly in her chest and no matter how much she tried to free herself she couldn't. He was stronger than her, locking her limbs that she couldn't even move a muscle. Although he didn't made any move to touch her, danger alert went off in her head.
A horny man + girl + bed = sex.
Lord, save her.
She was not religious.
She practice no religion in particular. She do believe in God, good deeds and bad deeds, after all the world didn't create itself right. Apart from that she respect all religions and beliefs, but that was it.
Growing up, she just had a strong affinity to morals and values thanks to Jiji's constant teachings, whether she was willing or not, that remains a question. In her eyes, religion doesn't matter but your reputation does. One need to uphold a proper image of a respectable young lady and give face to the elders. And that was made her into who she was today.
And among the long list of names she was called, goody two shoes was quite popular, right next to the doom bringer and demoness. She kinda liked demoness cuz it made her feel like a badass.
Anyways, she was a good girl. A good girl that would come home straight when straight the school was over, no late night parties (partly because she was never invited), no alcohol and drugs and no boyfriends.
Well, the only guy that was bold and stupid enough to approach her was Kevin, and even when they were engaged, they only ever did kiss. Yes he had her first kiss, and it was.... let's just say something she definitely do not want to remember.
It was at the airport before his departure abroad. They were both very emotional and after that slobbery mess of a kiss, they didn't talk for a week straight till the embarrassment has fade, on herpart.
So yeah, even though they have been engaged for 6 years, they still waited until our wedding night. Partly because Kevin was away the whole time, but they had that agreement.
So after what happened with Kevin and the break up, Que lost even more interest in relationships and men. She wasn't going to start any relationship soon, at least untill her curse is cured, and she definitely is not going to get into bed with any guy.
Not even the horny guy that was currently looming over her.
After gracefully knocking herself into his arms, Que was mortified at the embarrassing situation she found herself in. Her flimsy nightdress had barely covered the her butt exposing her legs. She struggled to climb down his exposed torso but her movement was getting clumsier by the second. His hands digs painfully into her butt cheeks trying to control her movement but only hiked the dress up.
Frustrated, Que felt like screaming and punching him, but sadly she couldn't.
Wiggling her butt, she slid down from his midriff when his hand left her butt briefly only to land back sharply with a smack.
Silence.
Silence
More silence.
"Did...did you just spank me?"
"Stay still."
"That gave you no right to hit me!"
"I'll do it again."
"Get your paws off me!"
"You are the one straddling me."
"It was an accident. What were you trying to do?"
"That's what they all say."
"You... unbelievable!" With a swift motion, he shifted and she was underneath him, his weight crushing her.
"Silence I said..." He growled into her ears a large paw covering her mouth. With his free hand he switched off the light.
That was how things spiraled to this situation. The room was dark with the lights off and both of them were silent.
Her heart was pounding in her chest, even if he tried doing anything to her she was completely powerless against his strong grip. Although the hand on her stomach was not moving, that doesn't mean he would not try doing anything to her, although he seemed to find the air around her more interesting than her.
ππ°πΈ π³π¦π’π΄π΄πΆπ³πͺπ―π¨.
His body was rigid as he advertently sniffs the air. When Que was strongly contemplating reporting his case to at least their family doctor, he shifted his attention back to her as if he heard her thought.
"Don't move," He whispered taking off his hand from her mouth. He was acting strange, and although she didn't see any reason to be quiet or why he was whispering, she still obeyed. When he was sure she wasn't going to start making a scene, he got off the bed and stalked towards the window. He was still in the white shirt from work with his sleeves rolled up and the buttons were messily done, some were missing. With his long hair in a messy bun, she had to admit he was looking smoky.
Que hugged her legs leaning against the headboard, as long as he would not touch her, she should be fine.
*
The clapping of a thousand wings broke through the sky as large bird rammed in to the windows hauling Zeus to the far end of the room caught her off guard. Smoke filled the room followed by complete silence. Everything went still reminding her of the night of the library attack. Huddled on the bed, she strained her eyes to see in the darkness but the lack of movement scared her more than anything else.
"Zeus..."
"Zeus?"
Silence.
The unmoving shadow of him laid on the floor. Que crawled off the bed and approached him, if those beasts are attacking then they need to get out of this place, fast.
"Karl Zeus....karl zeus..wake up." She shook his shoulders.
She was yanked forward and dragged out of the room with a hand covering her mouth by the man.
"Mhsyvm...hebni!"
"What did I say about keeping quiet?"
They raced up the stairs towards the last floor. By this time, all the lights in the house were off and smoke filled the house. Sounds of heavy footsteps echoed through out the house coming from all directions along side clashing of weapons.
They were under attack.
Que held the hand gripping hers tightly and tried to keep up with his wide pace. She was practically running compared to his walking pace.
They were attacked, was that why he was sniffing the air like a dog? Could he tell that just by sniffing the air?
It wasn't like the last attack. It looked more like a mafia attack. It's 1pm for Lord's sake, can't they wait till it's day time?
Was that why he came to her room? To save her? Here she was thinking he was there for some reasons. She felt bad at that thought.
Maybe drugs are not that bad after all.
He swung the door to his room open and walked to the far end of the room letting go of her hand. He opened a safe in the wall taking out a box and return back to her.
"Hand me your necklace."
He extended his paws towards her
Eh...
"Quick, we don't have much time to waste."
"What does my necklace have to do with this?" It was the only thing from her parents.
"I'll explain later, pass it over, now. Quick."
She unclipped the the chain dropping in his hands.
"It's the last thing from my parents.."
"Don't lose it. I know." He tossed it inside the red little box and locked it back in the safe.
"Why are they attacking, shouldn't you call the cops?" It sounds stupid to her ears even as she said that. That was not something a mafia would do. Cops and drug dealers had never been on good terms, although according to his reputation the authority cannot do anything to him.
"Focus on staying alive for now and for God's sake quit talking."
That was why they would never get on good terms with each other. He is very rude.
Hmmph, she can keep quiet alright.
She walked to the black chair in front of the fireplace and sat down quietly, the fight outside getting intense by the second. From time to time her gaze wandered to him standing by the window. He looked serious and ..... restless?
A coat was thrown on her head. "Put this on."
Shouldn't they be trying to escape? If this goes on at this rate, she feared the house would topple down on them burying them even their bones wouldn't be discovered.
Heavy boot pounced down the hallways coming closer, making her intestines quiver. The door was knocked down and a sharp silver blade cut a powerful arc through the air before a figure cladded in black emerged.
"Boss,"
"Zed,"
"Spikey," Umm, "never mind." She returned her attention back to the fire when two sharp gazes were directed on her.
"How are things going on,"
"Not good." Zeus nodded as if that was normal and looked at her.
"Take her and leave."
Spikey walked toward her in two long strides.
"Wait where are you taking me?" The guy ignored her and hauled her over his shoulders like a sack.
"Somewhere safe."
"What about him? Isn't he coming?"
"Please, worry about yourself," He scoffed, "he can take care of himself."
For the second time in a row, she felt helpless. To not be able to take care of herself and having to rely on others.
A burden, that was what she was.
Wind blew at her face taking her hair in different directions as Spikey, or Zed, sped through the forest at the back of the mansion with an incredible speed, bumping her along the way whenever he jumped off a high ground. She clutched her mouth feeling dizzy.
"Zed.. Zed stop, I think I'm going to puke."
He cursed throwing her down, "be quick,"
She stumbled forward and buried her head in the shrubs pouring out the content of her stomach. She rest her head against a tree waiting for the dizziness to fade when a wet object brushed against the exposed skin of her leg. She was too dizzy to move away and only managed to open her eyes. It was Bubu, the cat has followed her.
"Bubblegum, you came." She picked her up from the ground and hugged her.
"I'm sorry,"
She returned back to the place she left him but he wasn't alone. There was a another figure in black standing beside him, and to their left stood a bike. She sighed in relief, that journey was torturous and she had no idea if she could withstand that for a second round.
After exchanging few words with the other person, Zed turned and disappeared into the night.
"Hop on," A feminine voice said revving the engine of the bike. The voice sounded familiar but she couldn't recall where she heard it.
Climbing on the back they sped away through the forest. The wind was even stronger and she buried her face gripping the rider. Although she was grateful for leaving there alive, she was conflicted.
Zeus had saved her and she didn't even get a chance to thank him. The stupid guy, why didn't he leave with them?
She tried to convince herself that it was only because she didn't thank him as the uneasiness grew.
They stopped in front of an abandoned building in the middle of an empty road. The woman hid the bike within the trees and went towards the back of the house. It was dark and the floorboards creeked with each of their footsteps. The woman was wearing a mask which made impossible to see her face. After walking down a maze of dusty stairs, they arrived in front of a heavy metal doors. She swiped a card into it and it opened. It was a small apartment with only a one bed in the middle.
Que had never rode a bike and was trying hard to stand straight on her feet. Her stomach turned and she hastened to the bathroom. She hate bikes, remind her to not ever climb one again. Her feet and fingers were cold even the with the over sized coat around her. When she returned to the room, she met the girl carrying a bag of snacks coming from the door. She had taken off her mask, it was the pixie head kung fu girl, π³πΆπ£πΊ π³π°π΄π¦.
"Its you!"
"We meet again."
