Betrayal or Betrayed

This was the second time Evan gave Eric the privilege to determine the lives of his enemies. He did that not because Evan couldn't judge whether his enemy could be cooperated with or not, but, he felt that Eric who had been a mage in the Southern Empire could better provoke the nature and character of the original red-robed man out when talking to him.

"I want to rule the Southern Empire, but if I have to be the emperor maybe the people will immediately make a rebellion... In this case I need an intermediary so that the people remain calm despite being under my control... I also want this mediator to make the people can accept that the emperor is dead and keep the Imperial Government standing strong until we get a new Emperor."
