Chapter 25: One Tequila Too Many

They arrived at Randy's house a few minutes later. Cassie shuddered, realizing they were not going to a bar. Given her overactive erratic behavior, being alone with Randy might not be the best idea. Adding alcohol to the mix probably wouldn't mesh well with her hyperactive hormones.

"I thought you said we were going for drinks?" Trying to sound casual, she clenched her fists, digging her nails into the flesh. She knew the answer but was dreading the words.

"We are, but I'm not taking you to a bar looking like that. People will think you're a whore, and I beat you." Randy gestured towards her fat lip.

She giggled despite her nervousness, knowing he had a valid point. "Fair enough. I hoped no one would notice, but honestly, I feel too shitty to care what anyone thinks."
