The Beginning of Everything

"How do I start?" I said in my heart. On a lonely night, in a park I frequent, I thought it was time to find the perpetrators of my mother's murder and find out the truth. But I'm confused where to start.

I'm Tetsuya, a sword user. I like all kinds of swords, especially one handed swords and katana. I was taught by my uncle to use a sword to hunt wild monsters that roam around our residence. We live on the outskirts of the inner city, city B to be precise, so it's not uncommon for monsters to roam around our residence.

While I was thinking in the middle of the silent night, I suddenly heard the sound of fighting not far from me. I approached the source of the voice. I saw 2 monsters that were seen fighting a man protecting a mother and child. The man was badly injured.

Without thinking I tried to face the two monsters. The two monsters protected each other and attacked unhappily. Looks like the two monsters have already started targeting me. I tried to prioritize killing one of the monsters, but it wasn't easy. Other monsters always get in my way. As a swordsman, I also prepared other tools to deal with this problem. I used a stun bomb to knock out one of the monsters and it worked, now I'm focusing on killing the monsters that the stun bomb didn't knock out. The monster was starting to lose a lot of energy and it seemed that it was time to end the monster, but just as I was about to kill the monster, another monster that had recovered from the shock bomb seemed to be attacking me from behind. I had already lost a lot of strength, I couldn't possibly dodge the attack. "Is this the end of me? I even started it" I said to myself with resignation.

Before the monster managed to attack me, suddenly a woman came and easily slashed the monster's hand with a katana. The monster seemed unable to move after its hand was slashed by the woman. "Yue.." the name that came out of the mouth of the man who was injured, it seemed they knew each other.

"There's one more," said the woman. With my remaining strength, I swung my sword several times at the monster. It seemed the two monsters had been overcome. My body was unable to move, my eyes slowly closed, I fainted after that incident.
