"NOOOO where's Jesse!" Lexi screamed. Ava laid an arm around her best friend. "He's there Lex," Ava explained while she pointed behind her, "Oliver is calling."
"Nooo you promised not to please," Lexi pleaded her best friends.
"It's for your own good Lex," Jesse said appearing from behind.
"Please don't go," Lexi cried out.
20 hours earlier
"Yeah I'm coming," Lexi yelled from the top of the stairs while her doorbell rang. She opened it, half out of breath because she just ran two staircases down in order to reveal her best friend Jesse smirking in her doorway.
"You ready steady?" He asked jumping up and down of excitement. He was wearing an enormous backpack on his back.
"well almost," Lexi said laughing while Jesse just walked into her house if it was his own. He got into the kitchen and grabbed a bowl and filled it with chips.
"Ash not home I see," he wanted to know with his mouth full. "He's doing groceries after the hospital shift since someone keeps eating our supplies," Lexi responded spying on Jesse.
"Are you staying here or is that backpack going to pack himself today?" Jesse wanted to know pointing towards Lexi her unpacked sports bag.
"Yeah I just had to put everything in and then it will be full don't worry."
Jesse nodded and walked towards the bagpack with a unopened package of chips. He opened Lexi her bag and threw it in there. "Just before you forget," he said while Lexi stuck her tongue out.
"It's not like 90% of your bag is stuffed with food now is it?" Lexi wanted to know refering to a quite heavy backpack which didn't seem to be filled with only clothes.
Both laughed at this question and made their way upstairs inorder to pack every thing for Lexi her trip.
" I'm home," Ashton yelled from downstairs twenty minutes later. Lexi and Jesse were packing the last essentials for their trip into Lexi her backpack.
"We'll be down in a sec," Jesse said as he stood on top of the staircase.
"Oww hey Jes," Ashton laughed as he saw his sister best friend putting more chips into his mouth. Jesse excitedly waved and almost hit Lexi in his act. "Be careful with my sis now will you," Ashton laughed as Lexi slowly made her way down.
"Oww wait it's just the two of you," Ashton said surprised, "where are Ava and Oliver?"
"Home," Jesse said as he pulled up his shoulders.
"soooo the two of you were upstairs..." Ashton wanted to know smirking. "Yeah and I'm still gay Ashie boy," Jesse said as he flicked his hand towards Ashton. This made all three of them laugh.
"But we're picking them up right now so bye bye," Lexi laughed while she pulled Jesse away from the grocery bags of Ashton. "Bye bye," Ashton waved, "Call me if somethings wrong and don't forget to apply suncream since it's going to be beaming hot,"
Lexi and Jesse nodded and closed the door.
"I'll look out for Lex," Jesse yelled just before Lexi could close the door.
"Was that really necessary," Ashton heard his sister clearly not happy about it. But not much later he got up to get the bags and heard Lexi and Jesse already laughing. Lexi couldn't have found a better friend than him.

" Is it just me or is your twin really taking that long," Jesse annoyingly sighed towards Oliver. "Useally yes but she just got back from hockey camp and Shawn hadn't packed her bag so she was still busy."
"Oww Ava Mendes," Jesse yelled from the garden, "if you don't show up in a minute we're leaving."
Lexi playfully shook her head as both boys were chasing each other.
Suddenly Shawn stepped outside their house with water guns and pointed towards the boys who threw their hands in the air as surrender. Shawn shook his head smirking and emptied his supplies full on Jesse and Oliver.
"Noooooo," they both yelled as the tried to free themselves from Shawn.
Meanwhile Ava stepped outside their door and looked smiling to her brothers and Jesse. She threw her backpack on her bike and greated Lexi.
"So we're ready to go camping," Lexi said.
"well just say," she said scratching behind her ear, "it's just like hangmat and Ava is a no. Campfire and Ava, how does it even work, so no."
Both girls laughed and saw that the boys were done with their waterfight.
"Alright let's get moving because the campside will be three quarters away of cycling," Lexi stated. Jesse threw his head back and sighed anointed. "Do we really need to cycle?" he wanted to know. "Yep," Ava, Lexi and Oliver said in unison.
"So like this is it?" Ava carefully asked. The four of them had booked an accommodation which looked worse on the pictures. Once they entered it was a true paradise hidden in the forest.
"Guess so," Lexi said qs she threw her back on a bunk bed. She and Ava slept on one side while the boys slept at the end of the hall. "OMG," they heard Jesse scream and both girls ran towards their friend who stood frozen in a doorway. "No fucking way," Ava laughed, "we're so going to watch Grey's here." Ava and Lexi highfived. "Naha," Oliver responded, "this cinema is meant to be play fortnite on."
All of them laughed at the comment and left towards their own rooms.
"So we're swimming today right?" Lexi wanted to know as both girls began unpacking their bag. The sun was full on and it was something like 35 degrees outside. The ride towards here was a true hell for Lexi since she was to only one who didn't have a hat so the sun was always shining on her head.
"Yeah we're probably going to kano," Ava said as she looked satisfied towards their closet. The girls highfived each other and walked towards the cinema with their towels. They had put their bikinis on at home so they were ready to leave. The boys were no where done.
" So an episode of Grey's it is," Ava said smirking.
"Finally," Lexi said as Oliver and Jesse walked in. The girls were halfway through their second episode.
"Well I'm sorry," Jesse said as he pointed towards his hair, "but this my lady takes time." Lexi laughed and ruffled through his hair. "Oww your sooo going to regret that," he playfully hissed.
"Ehh yeah but we were swimming anyway so your hair would be ruined by the amount of water," Ava explained, "and especially when you step in a kano with Lexi here."
All of them laughed and went towards the kano side.
"Wait," Ava said just as she was about to leave, "we need to put suncream on." Jesse and Oliver responded that they had done that already and Lexi said that she didn't need it since she never burned.
Ava pulled her shoulders up and put suncream on her body. "Now we're ready to leave," she said as both Ava and Lexi put on their sunglasses.
"No I'm not stepping with you in that thing Lex because I know you longer than today," Jesse refused. "I promise I won't tumble us over," Lexi said as she helt out her pink. Jesse seemed to trust her and intwingt his pink into hers. "You promos right," Jesse said. Lexi nodded and stepped with Jesse into their kano. Ava and Oliver stepped into theirs and both kanos went on the river.
"Oww here," Lexi said while she passed Jesse some paddles. "Hoo wait so you're not doing anything?"
Lexi shook her head. "I'll be admiring the sun today," Lexi laughed. Jesse grabbed the paddle and turned it around so he could splash water into Lexi her life jacket, which they needed for the kano.
"Oww God here we go," Lexi said smirking while she leaned forward. In front of their kano was a big slide down. Since Lexi was quite tall, Jesse wasn't able to see what was going on in front of him. Suddenly their kano got lunged forwardand Jesse prayed to every God he knew that he would be oke.
Ava and Oliver were laughing their heads off in the other boat while Jesse screamed.
"I'm never ever doing it again you know," he stated as they got onto some what calmer side of the lake. Ava and Oliver wanted to respond but suddenly got lunged forward and fell over.
Jesse laughed his head off as both savely made it to the surface.
"You fine?" Lexi wanted to know as Ava slowly climbed back into their kano. Ava nodded and helped her twin back inside the boat.
"We're super duper fine," she said laughing. It looked like their holiday wouldn't be ruined but only if they knew....

"Lex," Oliver softly spoke as he shook the shoulder of a sleeping Lexi.
Once they were done kanoing they decided to go swimming. Lexi wasn't in favor of that idea so decided to get a tan instead. She had been laying in the sun for a good two hours because she had fallen asleep.
"I'm going back because I'll be making dinner," Oliver apologized himself, "and you should come too because your burning up." Lexi nodded because she did feel a bit off. When she wanted to stand up she got a terrible cramp in her left leg. She immediately sat back down to much concern of Oliver.
"What's wrong?" Lexi just pointed towards her leg and it became clear for Oliver that Lexi had a bad cramp. He saw how her muscles in her upper leg were convulsing. He quickly grabbed and pulled the cramp out of it.
"Better?" he asked as he saw her leg relaxing. Lexi slowly nodded and stood up. "Thanks mate," she responded as she pulled him in a hug. "No props girl only you do own me some dinner helping."
Lexi laughed and nodded while she walked with Oliver towards their tent.
Halfway through their walk she began to feel a 'trobbing headache. Her vision began to blur and couldn't see Oliver anymore.
Oliver hower just stood two meters in front of Lexi and saw how she was struggling. "Alright Lex this isn't good," he said getting quite worried. "I'm fine Oli," she responded once her vision came back. Oliver sighed because he knew that Lexi could be pretty self determined.
"If you say so."
The two of them made their way back to their accommodation.
Lexi was busy cleaning the table and setting it up for dinner while Oliver was making pancakes for the night. She still had the same trobbing headache and began to feel light headed as well. She knew from herself that she always had a low blood pressure which could drop down so quick that she could faint. The others were aware of that as well because Ashton had taught them what to do if it happens.
She just shrugged it off and sat down at the table. Lexi was getting worse by the second and before she could call Oliver for help she fainted of the chair.
Oliver looked up from his spot after he heard a loud thud. He thought that Lexi just dropped a plate but when he didn't find Lexi anywhere it suddenly clicked. He quickly turned off the gas and ran towards Lexi who laid unconscious on the floor.
"Alright girl I've got you," Oliver softly whispered as he put her in a recovery position. As he did that he noticed that Lexi her body was unbelievably hot. He quickly grabbed his phone out of his pocket and called his twin sister. After two rings Ava picked up." Yeah we're o-, " Ava didn't have time to finish her sentence because Oliver interrupted her.
"It's Lex. She fainted and she's burning up just hurry." Oliver could hear Ava scream for Jesse to sprint towards their accommodation since he was the fastest of the two of them.
"Jesse will be there in two minutes," Ava explained just before she hung up. Oliver thanked his sister and put his phone back.
Lexi still hadn't regained consciousness. Oliver gently pulled a string of hair behind her ear.
Within seconds Jesse burst through the door and slide down next to his best friend.
"Her blood pressure?" he wanted to know. Oliver shruged his shoulders and responded that he ahd no idea because he found her laying on the floor. Not much later Lexi was slowly coming around.
"Hey girl," Jesse softly spoke as he rolled her back, "you feel fine about getting up?"
Lexi slowly nodded and sat straight with help of Jesse and Oliver.
"You're burning up girl," Jesse softly spoke.
"I feel weird," Lexi responded. Oliver nodded and continued his research about what Lexi could have. If he didn't trust it anymore he would call Ashton.
"Promise me one thing," Lexi softly spoke as if she could read Oliver's mind, "don't call Ash please."
Jesse sighed but nodded and hold out his pink. "I promise."
During diner it only got worse with Lexi. The headaches stayed and the cramps got worse. Breathing became a problem as well as thinking clearly because her mind got foggy and confused.
Jesse looked up from his phone and saw how the color on her face slowly drained.
He shot up from his chair and caught her just in time.
Lexi fell limp in his arms but Jesse had experienced many fainting but this one was odd. Before he could figure out what the odd thing was Lexi convulsed into his arms.
Jesse was taken aback because he never witnessed a seizure.
"HELP," Jesse shouts through the accommodation. Oliver was doing the dishes while Ava was in the shower.
Within a matter of seconds Oliver was by Jesse's side.
"" What on earth, " Oliver screamed as he saw Lexi laying on the ground, "Yeah I'm calling Ash right now," Oliver explained while Jesse kept holding onto Lexi her hand for his dear life while Lexi continued seizing.
Suddenly Ava appeared and saw what was happening. She did know how to handle with seizures since she had witnessed some more due to a condition another friend has of her.
She crunched down next to Lexi and slowly rolled her to her side. While she did that she laid her hand around Lexi her waist in order to keep her that way.
Ashton was just in the lunchroom with Michael because they had a break from their shifts.
He was playing candy crush when suddenly a call came in. Oliver's name was seen on his phone while he immediately picked up.
"Hey Oli what's up mate," Ashton responded as he picked up.
"Ehh ash we night have a problem here," Oliver soflty spoke and holding back his tears.
"Wait what's wrong," Ashton worried and grabbing a pen and something to write on.
"Lexi. She's seizing." Ashton swallowed hard and wrote it down.
"Alright do you have some more weird things going on?"
"Yeah," Oliver spoke, "she had been having cramps. She fainted and complained about an headache." Ashton wrote everything down but couldn't think clear anymore so he just shove the paper towards Michael. He quickly threw his eyes on the paper and scribbled something down.
He passed it back to Ashton who was still on the phone. Ashton threw a look at the paper and saw something he might have thought, heatstroke.
"Alright Oli listen up," Ashton said as he and Michael grabbed their jackets, "Lay here in a cool place if she stops seizing and apply ice packs to her armpits, groin, back and neck. Well be there within 12 minutes."
Oliver responded with a yes and hung up.
Lexi stopped seizing and Jesse and Ava still sat next to her since she was still out like a light.
" Alright listen, " Oliver said as he scopes Lexi from the ground," find as many ice packs or cool things as you can and bring them towards the cinema room."
Ava and Jesse nodded and went searching while Oliver practically ran towards the cinema room.
Before Ashton had hung up he also said that Oliver should remove any unnecessary clothes so he undressed Lexi until she was stripped down into her bikini. Ashton also mentioned that it would be for the batter to put a fan on her but since that they didn't have one he decided to blow cold air into her face and use ice cold water to lower her temp.
"Just hold on girl," Oliver said as he soflty stroke her hair.
Jesse and Ava came running in the room with ice packs. Oliver immediately put it on the places Ashton said as suddenly his phone began ringing. Ashton was calling. "I have to pick up," he said while he left the room.
Jesse sat aside to a wall since he couldn't handle it anymore. Lexi slowly came around and found a really concerned and scared Ava hanging above her. She wanted to get up but Ava pushed her down.
"No it's for the better that you keep laying on the ground," Ava explained. Lexi had no idea what was going on. She felt weird and confused. What on earth was she doing on the floor of the cinema room in her bikini? She frantically looked around for Jesse but she didn't see him there and neither did she see Oliver.
"Just try to stay still okay," Ava tried to calm her friend down.
"NOOOO where's Jesse!" Lexi screamed. Ava laid an arm around her best friend. "He's there Lex," Ava explained while she pointed behind her, "Oliver is calling."

"I promise," Jesse said as he wiped his tears and sat down next to Lexi and Ava.
Suddenly Oliver returned in the room with Michael and Ashton following closely from behind. Once Michael reached out to Lexi he immediately felt the heat coming from her body.
" Alright Jesse and Ava we would like you to leave since I notice that Jesse isn't doing well either so I'll check on him soon. Oliver you stay here because we're going to need your help," Michael said giving out orders. Everyone did as the were asked for and Oliver turned on the big lights in the room so it would be easier for Michael and Ashton to do their job. Michael was normally the driver and Ashton the one to give out orders but this time the roles were reversed.
"Alright Ash," Michael said as he was taking Lexi her temp, "I want you to insert an iv with fluids as well as getting the ice blankets from the back of the ambulance."
Ashton did what he was asked for and set up an IV. After he inserted the bag with fluids he ran towards the ambulance for the cooling blankets.
"Alright Oliver I'm going to need some details," Michael explained to him while he got out a pen, "how long did she stay out in the sun without drinking?"
"A good three hours," Oliver said, "she had fallen asleep and I wanted to wake her so she could return back to our accommodation but then she started to get the symptoms like cramp. She also fainted but I thought it was her blood pressure. It was only when Jesse screamed for help because she was seizing that I knew there was something terrible going on."
Michael scribbled everything down and Ashton returned with the blankets. They quickly wrapped Lexi up and pulled her onto the gurney.
Ashton immediately hoped in the back while Michael drove off with sirens.
" Alright listen up, " Michael yelled through the hallways, "16 year old female. Suffers from hypothermia. Temp at the scene was 41 degrees. 200cc of fluid into her body. Blood pressure 70 over 45. Run a blood test and get me those results asap."
Michael pushed Lexi into a cubicle while Ashton was writing things down at the reception.
When Michael wanted to lift her from the gurney, Lexi suddenly fell limb in his arms.
" Fuck," he cursed under his breath. He stuck his head out of the cubicle and yelled to no one in spefic, "page Hemmings and Hood right now!"
Ashton heard it as well and ran back to Michael who stopped in from entering.
"This is not something you want to be part on," Michael softly said. He heard two familiar voices running his way.
"Great. Cal you take Ash to the break room and Luke your on mine right now," Michael gave out orders when he let Luke enter the cubicle.
"What on earth," Luke said as he found an unconscious Lexi laying on the table.
"Heatstroke," Michael explained as he tried to get some response out of Lexi.
"Fuck she's in coma," Michael concluded from the varied tests he had done, "I'm waiting for the bloodresults but it looks like a lost cause to me."
Luke sighed knowing what his colleague meant.
He grabbed the intravenous tube and the breathing tube since being in coma meant for Lexi that breathing would be become a problem sooner the later.
" Cold water into her stomach then? "
Michael nodded thinking about how it could've gotten this worse within a matter of minutes.
"Check her temp again," Luke suggested Michael.
Michael nodded and took her temp again. He was tuned when the numbers appeared on his screen. "Wait how on earth can she have climb 2 degrees?" Luke looked stunned as well and was taken aback. "Bring her to the ICU I would say and lay her in the cooling room," Luke suggested. Michael nodded and the two of them wheeled Lexi towards the special room in the ICU.
"I'll monitor her," Luke suggested since his shift was near ending and Michael and Ashton were just getting started and weren't even halfway their shifts.
"Thanks mate. Call me if something changes." Luke nodded and promised Michael he would call if something happened.
"Ambulance 500437 to central. We're back on shift," Michael said through his walkie-talkie just before leaving the room.
Luke continously pumped cold water into Lexi her system in order for her to come around.
Luke had fallen asleep. So did Michael and Calum. Ashton on the other hand was still holding his little sisters hand. Lexi had been laying in coma for a good 46 hours and still hadn't shown any improvement. Her temperature was fluctuating and everytime she got cooler something in her own system warmed her up again which left her with 41.5 degrees laying on the ICU.
Ahsotn was slowly stroking Lexi her hand when suddenly he felt her fingers move. He immideatly shot up and saw how his baby sister was slowly coming around.
"Hey girl your fine," Ashotn slowly said as a teardrop slowly wiggled down Lexi her cheek
