8 Not just girly stomach cramps - 5sos Medical

*beep* *beep*. Tess turned around mad at her alarm clock. Tess was a typical snoozer, which anoid her older brother Ashton.

"Tess," he screamed from the other room, "please get out of bed and stop with snoozing that stupid alarm clock."

"Alright I'm up already," Tess screamed to her brother and got up.  One thing Ashton and Tess were having in comen, that was there morning troubles. Both of them weren't such a morning person.

Tess dressed up and was ready to leave for school not realising the two upcoming tests she had today.

"Ashton you coming as well," Tess laughed when she entered her brothers room. "Tess you know a 12 year old shouldn't be wearing makeup," the grumpy Ashton told her when he walked past her.

"A 12 year old should also have been brought up by her parents and not by her brother," Tess said softly but still hearable for Ashton.

"I'm sorry Tess I didn't mean it like that," Ashton said when he embraced his sister into a hug.

You see after their mother died when Tess was 4, their father left them two years later. From that time on Ashton was in charge over Tess.

Tess loved her brother but now she's in secondary education and was slowly turning into the puberty as well. With that she just misses her mother because now she has no body to talk to about girl problems like being on her period. She remembers the first time when it took Ashton half a year to find out. It was soo awkward to talk with her brother about the typical girl problems.

Right now Tess was having some stomach cramps, nothing bad Tess thought since she was about to hit her period soon.

All of the sudden the pain got pretty sharp.

"Ahh," Tess let out a cry of pain and hung forward and hold her stomach.

"Tess baby what's wrong," Ashton asked shocked when he saw his sister leaning forward holding her stomach, "do you need to be sick?" But with just one look from Tess it became clear that she was about to hit her period.

"Do you feel fine enough to go to school today," Ashton asked when he wanted to put his hand on Tess her forehead. Tess pulled away because she damn right knew that she had a temperature. "I told you I was fine," Tess let out a sigh of pain when she made this outburst towards her brother.

"If you say so," Ashton mumbled under his breath. When he wasn't trusting it anymore by midnight he would call in his friends and bandmates Luke and Calum who were professionally medical trained but Tess doesn't know about that because she will freak out when she gets to hear that.

When Ashton has taken his morning shower he made his way downstairs hoping that Tess was eating but she said that she was finished. Ashton didn't believe her but he didn't want to break the trust even further then about what happened this morning.

"I'm leaving Ash," Tess said as she stood up and took her bag from the counter.

"But Tess class starts in three quarters, why are you leaving now?" Tess had no idea what to answer here. The reason why she wanted to leave early was so that Ashton didn't see her getting sicker because at this moment Tess felt incredible terrible.

"I promised Raven to help with his upcoming math test," Tess told her brother while scratching her head quite unsure what to say instead.

Ashton just nodded because he damn right knew that she was laying but he had his things already planned.

His best mate, Michael, was one of the teachers from Tess so he could inform Micheal to keep out a close eye to Tess.

Tess also thought this was the case since her brother actually did believe the worst lie ever in history.

"Holy shit Tess you look like shit," Raven said when he walked up to his best friend. "Have you stayed up till midnight to study for history and biology." Raven was just putting his stuff back into his locker and when he closed it Tess was still in the same position with a face full of pain.

"Tess you sure you're alright, I always could call your bro if you want," Raven said while he put his arm comfortable around her shoulder.

"Yeah I'm fine Raf, just what did you say about tests?" Tess looked at him confused.

"Tess you got to be kidding," Raven looked at her in disbelieve, "did you forgot the upcoming tests for today." Tess swallowed hard and visible.

"Hey girl you're going to be alright because you'll pass them I'm sure of it."

"Raf," Tess started, "you know I need a sufficient to pass the year so I can't afford not remembering tests."

Raven nodded while they walked into their English lesson.

During the lesson Raven started noticing that Tess began to look paler. "Tess you sure that you're...." Raven couldn't finish his sentence because he got interrupted by his teacher.

"Mister Nowacki are we listening or are we just chatting. Boy you need to gain up some concentration because if you don't I'll personally make your life miserable next year when you're not passing." When his teacher told Raven his dislike about him, Raven had enough of his attitude towards him, and stood up.

"And where do we think we're going Mister Nowacki?" his teacher asked when he saw Raven getting his backpack.

Raven spoke some Polish words, lucky his teacher didn't speak any Polish but Tess on the other hand did. When her teacher saw her laughing he asked her what was so funny she didn't reply which got her sent out as well.

"See it on the positive side," Raven said when Tess walked out of the classroom, "now we've time to study." Tess laughed at the argument of Raven.

"Only problem," Tess said when she opened her biology book, "we'll have him fourth period AGAIN!" Tess slammed her head on her book while Raven laughed at her.

During the study Tess began to feel more and more sick. "Raf," she started making Raven to look up. "Holy shit Tess you really do look terrible," Raven told as he shot up from his chair. A wave of nausea hit her which caused Tess to run to the girls toilet. Raven knew something was wrong but decided not to follow her because he knew Tess would kill him if he did.

In the girls bathroom Tess had been emptying her stomach. When she was finished she decided to tell Raven about her pain.

"Raf," Tess started as she sat down, "I truly don't feel good so I think I'll be going home after the fifth if that's okay with you?" It came out more as a question then as a statement.

"So don't get me wrong here," Raven said when he put down his biology book, "but you're actually questioning me if it's okay with ME that YOU go home?" Raven looked concerned at his friend who looked like she was going to faint anytime soon but before he could ask her the bell rang to tell them to go to the next lesson.

Somehow Tess managed to go through the day, well at least till fourth period. Her biology test she had the third was pretty easy and she had no idea why she was stressing out.

Her biology teacher was Michael and Tess damn right knew that he was keeping a close eye on his bandmates sister.

When Raven and Tess walked into their English classroom they were stopped by their teacher.

"So Miss Irwin and Mister Nowacki, are we thinking we can stay a whole period or are we leaving halfway?" Raven and Tess decided to ignore their teacher and just walk straight ahead to their tables in the back row.

During the lesson it was hard for Tess to concentrate due to stabbing pain in her lower right of her abdomen. She was bend forward in order to reduce the pain.

She felt Raven his hand on her back which made her look up to him. He mouthed to her if she was okay and Tess shook her head.

Tess pointed to the spot where she was hurt the most and with that Raven's hand got raised immediately.

"Mister Nowacki What is it now?" their teacher asked annoyed, but before Raven could answer he heard a body drop on the floor.

When he looked next to him he didn't see Tess sitting next to him anymore but laying unconscious at the floor.

Raven his eyes widened when he saw his best friend laying there not moving at all but the worst part was his teacher who was clapping at the front of the school board.

"Wauw. Miss Irwin I would complement you with your acting skills because you always made me believe you did faint so if you could get up and grab your stuff that would be great."

Raven looked at his teacher in total disbelief and knew what he had to do. He had to get Michael ASAP because maybe he could get in touch with Ashton.

Raven ran out of the classroom, followed by some yells form his teacher, straight to the classroom of Michael.

Michael was currently teaching second years when all of the sudden Raven bursted in. "Raven," he started quite shocked when his student came rushing in, "if you would like to know I haven't checked your tests yet." Micheal was joking just because he had no idea what was going on.

"It's Tess," Raven said and with them Micheal and himself sprinted back towards his class where his teacher was still giving the lesson because he believed that Tess was faking.

"So mister Nowacki, couldn't you pull this prank with the two of you. Did you really needed help from mister Clifford." Michael looked behind his colleague and gave him a dead glance.

"Alright this class will be dismissed due to medical reasoning," Michael said. All students left but his colleague looked at him in total disbelief.

"And you go as well," Michael spat out to him. He ran out of the classroom because believe me an angry Michael can be pretty intimidating.

Both Raven and Michael took a run towards Tess who was still laying unconscious.

"Alright Raven can you call an ambulance for me and tell them we're probably dealing with a ruptured appendix so she needs to go to the hospital ASAP." Raven nodded at the instructions of Michael and grabbed his phone to dial the emergency number.

Michael was busy trying to wake Tess up and making sure she laid on her side, when the paramedics rushed into their classroom.

"Alright what do we have Michael," the paramedic said. When Michael looked up he saw one of his bandmates standing next to him. He gave Michael a reassuring smile.

"Alright Luke," Michael started, "12 year old girl. Complained about stomach pains this morning to Ash. Have been out for approximately 20 minutes. Throwing up unknown as well as the spot of the stomach pain."

That's when Raven came in. "If I could say something," he started making sure the others were listening to him, "she had thrown up twice and complained about a certain pain in her lower right abdomen."

That's when it all went in a rush. Luke's eyes were full with panic as well as these from Micheal. When Tess got laid on a gurney they rushed her towards their ambulance because they were dealing with an appendix but had no idea if this one was already ruptured or not.

"Warn Ash mate," Luke told Micheal when they both hopped into the back of the ambulance.

Micheal nodded and wasn't looking forward at all to this cellphone conversation. Tess was like a sister to all of them and now not knowing if she could make it was just soo hard for both of them.

Micheal pulled out his phone and diales the number of his bandmate. Amazingly Ashton picked up right after three rings.

"Ehh mate," Ashton sounded a bit harsh, "why are you calling me when you're at work. Hold on a sec why do I hear sirens in the background. Mate you better not be in an ambulance with Tess."

"Well ehh," Michael hesitated when telling his best mate, "Yeah it is Tess. I'm soo sorry mate, we're expecting that she has..." "Hold on a sec," Ashton interrupted, "who is WE?"

"I'm with Luke," Michael explained, "but about Tess. She's not doing great at all. She has a inflamed appendix for 99% but that one is probably ruptured as well."

Micheal could hear Ashton sniffing in the background.

"We're bringing her in into the clinic so Calum can preform surgeries on her so I'll meet you there."

Ashton agreed on meeting Micheal at the clinic and hung up afterwards.

The ambulance came to a halt at the entrance of their clinic.

Micheal and Luke immediately rushed towards the ER where Luke scrubbed into the surgery with Calum while Micheal waited outside.

Micheal went to the waiting room where he found a mentally broken down Ashton.

" I should've known," Ashton cried into the shoulder of Tess her biology teacher.

Micheal reassures Ashton that he wasn't to blame since he saw Tess just a hour before disaster had struck and didn't notice anything.

"Tess is just a really though girl and you know that. She doesn't give in to pain that easily." Micheal told his best mate while making him look up.

Meanwhile Luke and Calum came walking in the waiting room.

"Ash," Calum said, "Tess made it. Her appendix was ruptured but successfully removed during surgery. She'll have some recovery time from it but it seems alright."

Ashton cried in excitement and hugged Micheal as if his life was depending on it.
