"And with that you just multiply it by phi...." blah blah blah. Alison Irwin wasn't paying attention at all. She was a fifteen year old teen, who would even care about math? Nope right. The only thing that was easy with math is to know how to calculate the average speed of a opponent or a ball when being kicked.

No, Alison didn't see any sense in math but still she stood an A+ on average so her teacher didn't blame her when she wasn't paying attention yet again.

Alison's life was directed by one thing and by one thing only. Alison was one of the defenders of Sydney FC women's department. She was the captain of the U17 and got on the regional team once she turned nine.

It was her second season at Sydney FC and dreamed of singing the national anthem in the stadiums.

Alison laid her head on the table and waited a few moments before she got up.

"Have a nice practice Alison," her teacher said as Alison walked passed her with her trainings back.

"Thank you miss," Alison said as she left the room while putting her hair in a quick ponytail.

Alison wandered around the school and grabbed some things from her locker.

Suddenly she felt a Chuck on her ponytail. She turned around and saw an innocent looking Mila holding her hands on her back.

"Ali please bring me," She wined. "Luke still hasn't fixed your band now has he," Alison laughed back.

Mila shook her head as she was trying to sip some water in as well.

"Alright but this is the last time," Alison said laughing while pointing a finger to Mila. Mila just nodded and waited for Alison to close her locker and throw her back around her shoulder.

Mila and Alison both got on the regional team and were besties from day one. It also happened to be that both of their brothers were on the same band.

"You done," Mila asked impatient when Alison walked towards her cycle.

"Mila two things. One, we're always late and second if you start singing again I will personally throw of my bike," Alison said laughing pointing her key towards Mila.

Alison was on time, Mila however was a different story. Because they understood that school was as important as her football they decided that Mila would just play at the u17 instead of the u16. Mila was a great striker but didn't stood out as much as Alison did. Alison however never got the fame to her head because she knew that it was team sport so it wasn't just her who won the match.

"Head to practice then," Mila whined as she already hopped on the back.

————————————————————

"Mila," Alison whispered halfway the practice in her best friends ear,"look who we've got there." Alison pointed to Mila her crush which made both girls giggle.

"Ehh girls," their trainer - Jesse - asked them, "what's so funny here."

"I spy," Alison said, "some love in the air." Mila gave Alison a death glare and started running from Mila.

"When you're done girls," Jesse said trying to hold back his laugh, "I would like to speak to Alison alone.

Mila whinked towards Alison who left her best mate with a middle finger.

"Alright," Mila gave in, "I'll walk home than." She threw her arms into air as surrender. "Yeah like that's going to take you hours," Alison said laughing. Mila lived just around the corner meanwhile Alison still had to cycle a good ten minutes.

"Alright Alison," Jesse said once she reached him, "you know that you're an outstanding defender and left back. Not only I saw, but here." Jesse handed Alison a letter with a stamp of the national women's bond. "You mean," she screamed excited. "You're invited to train with them and have a match." Alison cried and hugged Jesse. "I owe you soo much. I don't think I've ever seen such a good trainer in my life."

Jesse chuckled and pulled her into the hug.

"Read it carefully and you'll be going on a trainings weekend tomorrow," Jesse softly spoke.

"But tomorrow we have a match," Alison looked weird to Jesse. Jesse knew that Alison was a team player so skipping a game because she had something else to do was way out her league.

"Hey girl don't worry," Jesse said. Alison slowly nodded and got a smile.

"Good luck tomorrow," Jesse said waving towards her.

Alison waved back, grabbed her bag and ran towards her cycle. She drove off like a madman towards the house she shared with her brother Ashton and his boyfriend Calum since both of their parents neglected them.

After seven minutes of cycling she just basically threw her bike into the garden "Ali," Calum said because he was sitting outside in the garden playing with Alison's younger brother Aimée, "why don't you just put your bike where it's supposed to be." Alison turned to Calum and just cried in excitement. "Holy shit what's wrong Ali," Calum said rushing towards her, "you hurt or? ASHTON!"

Alison kept on crying and shook her head. Ashton stormed outside and found a crying Alison and a desperate looking Calum.

"Ali what hurts," Ashton tried to get some response out of his sister. Once again she shook her head.

"I got through," she yelled to both of them. Calum and Ashton shared a look that said that neither of them had any idea of what Alison was talking about. She passed them a letter and Ashton scanned through the letter.

Ashton dropped the letter after a minute and shook his head. Alison excitedly nodded and Ashton practically ran towards Alison and hugged her if his life depended on it.

"Than we need to start packing," Ashton quickly spoke. Alison wiped her tears and nodded.

Calum quickly picked up the letter.

Dear Alison Irwin,

We are pleased to invite you for a selection week for the national squad of the under 17 next season.

We'd like to invite you for a training weekend starting Friday the 26th of June 2019.

It will be held at the local sports club in Sydney.

You'll get trainings gear from us at arrival.

At Sunday we'll play a friendly match against Belgium in which we'll announce the final squad for next season.

We need you to take your own football boots, sleeping bag, flashlight and toiletries.

We're looking foreword to see you.

Kind regards,

Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan.

Calum's eyes couldn't believe what just stood there. He knew that Alison was a stunning soccer player but they didn't quite have this in mind.

Calum grabbed Aimée and ran upstairs.

"You serious," Calum yelled in excitement. Alison looked at him and simply nodded.

Calum jumped into the air and kissed Aimée's forehead twenty times. The six year old looked at him and from his face you could tell that he was stunned by the sudden kisses of Calum.

"Yak," Aimée exclaims which made all of them laugh.

"Aimée isn't such a kissy person now is he," Alison exclaimed once she got her little brother from Calum's arms.

"No," Aimée said while he stuck his tongue out towards Calum.

"Shall I take you to your hockey match mate," Alison said towards Aimée. He excitedly nodded because he loved his sister with his whole heart but she was never able to bring him to practice or a match because she was always busy training or playing herself.

"Right I'll pack your things and will collect you both because we'll be celebrating," Ashton told. "Yeah whatever. Hurry Ali," Aimée jumped up and down.

"Shin guards?" Alison asked. Aimée nodded. "Than we're ready steady," Alison said. She got Aimée his back and walked together with him.

Aimée couldn't stop talking about his hockey. Alison just nodded and walked together with Aimée.

"We're here," Aimée proudly said as he stood in front of the entrance.

"Did you meet Liam? He's my coach," Aimée said as he pointed to a young looking male. The guy waved to a way too exciting Aimée.

Liam made his way towards Aimée and Alison.

"Haven't den you before now have I?" Liam asked her. Alison shook her head and stuck her hand out.

"Alison Irwin. I'm A-." Alison got stopped abruptly by Aimée.

"She's my bestest sister," Aimée exclaimed and hung around Alison's leg.

"I'm Liam, Aimée his coach." Alison nodded and untangled Aimée from her leg.

"Alright little monkey," Liam said as he scooped Aimée over the fence, "let's hockey alright."

Alison watched Aimée trying his best in the warming up but didn't succeed. Let's just say Aimée isn't just made for sports as well as Ashton. Liam was kind and patient with Aimée.

Suddenly Alison her phone went and when she saw the caller ID she grew excited. It was Mila.

"Hey girl," Alison picked up. "Hey Ali. In for going to the beach tomorrow?" Mila asked, still unaware of what was going on. "Well," Alison said scratching her head, "I can't tomorrow. Can I come over tonight because I need to tell you something."

"Yeah fine. Michael and Luke are here as well but you don't mind do you?

Oww and Fran is having her sleeping party so prepare for disaster."

Fran was Mila's 7 year old sister and Luke was her older brother who was in love with Michael.

"No. I'm eating with Cal, Ash and Aimée first and then I'll be getting to yours," Alison respondes.

"See ya girl," Mila answered and hung up.

Alison was focusing again on Aimée who was put as a striker in their game.

Half way through the game their team was 2-0 ahead when Ashton and Calum walked towards Alison.

"And how is he doing?" Calum wondered. "Let's say he had the same sporting abilities as Ash here," Alison said grinning.

Usually Ashton would go with Aimée to his match while Alison normally went with Mila since Calum had to work as a lifeguard on the beach.

Suddenly Aimée stood in front of the keeper alone but the ball went meters away from the goal once he wanted to score.

His team mates told him that it was alright and even Liam gave him thumbs up, so probably it was already something that Aimée stood in front of the goal with a ball.

"Oww Mila called she asked if I could join her to the beach tomorrow but I said that I couldn't and that I will be explaining it tonight. So after dinner I'm going to hers to be fair," Alison told Ashton and Calum.

"Yeah do whatever you want but be home before 11 p.m because you need your rest for tomorrow," Ashton said.

"Yeah promise," Alison said. With that being said all three of them turned their heads towards the field.

Aimée his team had concurred the ball and passed it to Aimée. He somehow managed to keep it to his stick and pushed as hard as he could. The ball went through the goalkeeper his legs and a loud cheer was to be heard from Aimée.

"Did he just?" Alison said looking stunned. "I think he did," Ashton said clapping towards his younger brother.

Aimée directly ran towards Liam and gave him a hug. Alison thought it looked cute and quickly snapped a picture of the scene.

Aimée his team ended up winning with 16-1 and Alison couldn't be more proud of her younger brother.

————————————————————

Alison stepped out of the car and carried a sleeping Aimée into their house. "I'm off to Mila," she whispered and handed her brother to Calum.

"Be careful love," Ashton said.

It was 7 p.m at the moment so that meant that she could stay with Mila for another good 4 hours.

"I will," Alison said while she tucked the letter into her pockets before she drove off towards the house of her best friend.

"Hey girl," Mila said while she hugged Alison, "come in."

"Thanks." Alison put her bike against the fence and walked into a complete chaos.

"Omg am I sure I'm walking into a Hemmings house because it's downright looks like Michael hasn't been here for like six years," Alison said laughing.

Luke, Mila And Fran were quite messy while Michael was the neatest person Alison Gad ever met.

"Very funny Ali," Luke said while he threw a pillow to her head, "but he's doing groceries so if you like to have anything just give him a call."

"No I'll be fine," Alison reassured when suddenly a dozen of  seven year olds came running in the room.

"Luke," Fran whined, "are the fries ready." Luke nodded and all the kids excitedly made their way towards the table.

"Next time," Mila whispered, "I think we shouldn't be inviting so many children."

I giggled at her comment made and nodded understandably.

Luke was desperate to give all the children fries and snacks.

"But what did you want to tell me?" Mila asked while pouring herself some water in.

"Let's just wait for Michael Yeah," Alison said grinning. "No I wanna know nooooow," Mila wined. Alison just shook her head and made a zipping  signal towards her lips. Mila just crossed her arms and huffed.

Alison stick her tongue out and both girls got into a laughing fit.

"Really girls," Luke said, "some help would be nice." Luke looked desperate and was on the edge of losing control.

"Yeah we'll help," Mila said smiling while sitting down at the table, "with eating."

Luke had to laugh at it while Mila and Alison just helped the kids eat properly.

"I'm hoooome," Michael yelled once he threw the front door shut, "and why is Alison her bike here." Alison raised her hand which Michael gratefully high fives. "Maybe because SOMEONE," Alison said directing towards Mila, "still has a broken bike." Mila laughed and Luke made a note to himself that he would actually fix his sisters broken bike.

"But why are you here?" Michael asked. "You sleeping over or what?"

"I'm most definitely not because I don't want to be awaken by these little monsters," Alison grinned back. She dug into her pocket and casually handed Michael the letter.

Michael his eyes scanned the letter and let out a gasp.

"No you're not!" Michael exclaimed. "Oww Yes I clearly am," Alison said while shoving another fries into her mouth.

Michael dropped the letter like Ashton did and hugged Alison if his life depended on it.

"I'm sooo proud of you," He said lifting her up. "I think I'm proud of myself too," Alison answered.

"Whaaaat," Mila whined. She also grabbed the letter from the floor and read it. She cried and fell into Alison's arms.

————————————————————

"Name," a young looking blond haired called once Alison entered the stadium.

"Alison Iriwin," Alison said kind of nervous.

"I'm Niall," the blond haired said while holding his hand out. Alison shook it and took the football supplies from Niall.

"Go over there where the others are waiting we'll soon tell you what to do." Alison nodded and walked off into the direction where Niall had pointed to.

Alison wandered through and found the other who were all familiar because they got on regional teams as well.

Alison did found out that she was the only one from her group out there.

"Alright girls listen up," Louis yelled through the room, "so my name is Louis Tomlinson and that there is Niall. We're going to be your trainers for the upcoming weekend.

Today we're training and tomorrow around 11 a.m we'll be having a match against Belgium u17 from this year. We expect you to be at the field at 9.30 a.m and once you're there you dress up and start our shared warming up which will be provided by Niall. Niall and I will see today who'll start and who starts on the bench tomorrow."

Louis just talked along and Alison was interested and listening. She damn wanted to make this team but once she looked around she got more and more the feeling that she couldn't.

"AND PASS IT," Louis yelled to a girl during their trainings match against one another. The girl was an egocentric bitch so Alison knew that this girl wasn't going to pass. Alison took a risk and made a tackle on the ball to much like of Niall and Louis. Alison saw a girl from her team walking towards the goal and would stand free with one good pass. Alison felt confident enough and gave the girl a ball that she only had to tip in.

"Good job Irwin," Louis yelled from the side while her team was cheering.

Alison played a really good match so she felt more and more confident.

"Alright girls hit the showers and when you're done come to the dining room where Niall and I will announce the squad we'll be starting with tomorrow," Louis announced.

"I'm so in the starting squad tomorrow," the ego centric girl - Tessa -said, "I always start." Alison had to laugh at herself because only if that girl knew.

"Hey you're here already," Niall said looking happy. Alison walked in as first since she never showers long. "Yeah," She responded smiling and got an apple from the table.

Not long after more and more girls came walking in and Alison just went chatting along with them. She knows almost everyone as opponent and right now they could become teammates soon.

"Alright girls," Niall said smiling, "tomorrow we'll start in a 4-4-2 formation. I'll announce the girls who're starting and announce the captain later." Niall had made a power point and each slide gave a new position away.

It was almost ending and every position was given except for the two spots as central defenders.

"Last two spots for tomorrow," Niall happily announces, "Liv Grey and Alison Irwin who will be the caption tomorrow as well."

Alison looked stunned and everyone congratulated her for such a prestation.

————————————————————

Alison turned around and waved to Aimée who happily waved back. She was busy doing her warming up till the whistle blew and she collect the captain band by Louis. "You can do it," Louis said to her because hitting the band and sending her off.

Alison spotted Michael who's expression was beyond proud. Alison smiled and walked towards the middle. She shook the hands and won the toss. Alison decided to stay where they stood and that Belgium could kick the ball.

Halfway through the match Alison saw a girl running towards her with the ball. From what that girl showed she had to be a left feeted. Once the girl came closer, Alison managed to capture the ball from her opponent and saw her teammate running towards the goal like at training. Alison didn't think twice and gave a perfect ball towards her and her teammate only had to tip it in which she did. Australia was taking a 1-0 lead. Everyone was cheering and hugging Alison and the girl who scored - Chelsea-.

Niall smiled and softly nodded towards Alison and Chelsea.

"Alright," Louis said once the girls entered the dressing room, "I think we're doing amazing seeing that we only play with each other for a day while the other ones just became European champion with the same formation." All girls smiled and nodded.

"I'm going to change one thing and that's about our corners. I want Alison and Liv in the box once given a corner." Alison and Liv nodded and understood since both girls were about 1.85 meter.

"Let's get back than," Niall smiles.

"Run Alison," Louis instructed when he saw his team got a corner. Alison and Liv nodded and both ran into the box. Shay - their left-back - took the corner and Alison jumped up in order to score a header.

The crowd cheered again and Alison immediately ran towards Shay and thanked her for the ball.

Louis stood against the dugout satisfied.

The game continued and in the 60th minute the unimaginable happens. Alison saw her opponent running towards her and she slid the ball from her opponents feet. Only the opponent couldn't slower her pace so she ended up tumbling over Alison's knee. A disgusting sound was heard followed by a cry for help from Alison. It happened just before the dugout so Niall was on his feet into a second. He saw that Alison's kneecap has popped out which made his own stomach turn because the same injury had ended his carrier.

"Shhhh," Niall tried to hush her, "you'll be fine yeah don't worry." He laid her head into his lap.

"Listen to me girl. I've been there as well Yeah so I know you're in tremendous pain but I need you to calm down for me," Niall said while he made sure that Alison stayed conscious.

Louis ran over as well and saw that Alison's leg was completely disfigured. "OMG where are your parents Alison?" Louis wanted to know. "They're not here," she managed to choke out through her sobs, "get Ashton please." Niall nodded and instructed Louis to get her brother because she needed to go to the hospital ASAP.

Alison began to see black spots and looked worried to Niall.

"Hey I need you to stay awake for me yeah," Niall softly spoke.

"Niall," Alison softly spoke, "am I able to play football ever again?" Tears welled up in Niall his eyes since he felt the same thing when he dislocated his knee.

Suddenly a silhouette appeared and when it got closer Alison saw that it was Ashton.

"Hey girl," Ashton said once he crunches down, "Let's get you to the car yeah." Alison slowly nodded while Niall and Ashton helped her up. Both boys supported her while he hopped off the field.

"Thanks Niall," Ashton said when Niall helped him carry Alison towards Ashton's car.

Michael saw everything happen so he insisted he took Aimée to his house with Luke so Ashton could take care of Alison.

He laid her across the backseat and drove away with an amazing speed.

"Call me when you know anything," Niall whispered into Ashton's ear to which he nodded.

"Please help," Ashton yelled, "it's my sister she dislocated her kneecap." The receptionist looked down on Alison, who was currently in a wheelchair, and gave a sympathetic smile.

"I'll call the doctor," she said and not much later returned with a young looking male which Alison recognised. "Liam?" She softly spoke. "Well nice you remember me," he joked.

"I can do it myself," Alison said while she wheeled herself towards Liam, "you can stay here Ash."

Ashton nodded and knew where she was up to since Ashton couldn't deal with people in pain and would always throw up or pass out.

"I love you," Ashton said kissing her forehead.

"Love you too." Liam grabbed the wheelchair and pushed Alison towards a room.

"Alright Alison," Liam said as he sat down, "it looks like your knee dislocated pretty bad but I'm more afraid that you ruptured your cruciform ligament and that means that your career has ended unless you train very hard and doesn't play any ball sport for like 3 months. But as I said, an echo needs that to get it confirmed."

Alison sadly nodded and began to see black spots again from the pain. Liam was just typing into his computer till he looked up and was beyond shocked.

Liam shot up and saw Alison drifting in and out of conscious. "Hey girl wake up," Liam said while tapping her cheek.

Suddenly Alison fell limp in Liam's arms. He quickly pushed the button on his pager and his best mate and colleague Harry ran in.

"You paged," Harry asked clearly out of breath. Liam nodded and lifted Alison up.

"Take her to the X-ray and order a echo because I think she ruptured her cruciform," Liam said while he inserted an IV into her arm. Harry nodded and wheeled her bed together with Liam towards the X-ray.

"On three," Harry said while he laid her hands under her back while Liam supported her dislocated leg, "1..2...3"

Both boys lifted a still unconscious Alison on the bed of the x-ray.

"Set up the echo materials," Liam said while they wheeled her back into the room. Harry nodded and Liam took a look at the pictures of her kneecap.

Alison began to regain consciousness to much like of Harry.

"Li," he spoke up till Liam looked up from the computer, "she's waking up." Liam nodded and walked over towards Alison who put her hand before her mouth and that's when it clicked by Liam.

"Harry get me that bucket." Harry have what Liam requested for and hold it under Alison's chin. She hesitated but with the reassuring words from Liam she let it all out.

"I just got the results back from your X-ray and Harry and I will be pulling it back soon. After that we'll take an echo and see the damage." Alison nodded understandably and watched in horror when Liam grabbed her upper leg while Harry took her shin.

Without any word both boys pulled a different direction and after a few tries it popped back into the socket.

Alison let out a scream of pain and cried once it was all over.

"Shhh you're soo brave little one," Liam said.

Harry stood aside ready for the echo and put some cold gel on her leg.

"I'm going to look around yeah," Harry said once he put the camera on her leg. Alison nodded and let Harry do the procedure.

"Li look," Harry spike after a silent minute, "here." He pointed to the screen and pointed to a ruptured cruciform. Liam sadly nodded and Alison shook in horror.

"Alright Alison," Harry said, "you've indeed ruptured your cruciform but I think you'll be able to play competitive again within 6 months."

Alison cried and nodded. "In order to do that you need to keep a cast on for three weeks and walk on crutches for two weeks. Also you're not allowed to play any ball sport for the upcoming 5 months and than we'll start fysio and you'll be back before you know it," Liam reassured her. Harry got up and grabbed a brace which also functioned as cast during ruptured cruciform.

"I'll put this around your leg and than give you crutches," Harry said. Alison nodded and softly lifted her leg up. "This is going to hurt for a bit," Harry softly spoke and laid the brace under her leg. Once Harry laid it across he laid Alison's leg back on the bed.

Once he laid it back he strapped the bands tight and gave her a recipe for painkillers.

"Alright," Liam said once he was done, "I'll see you within two months yeah." Alison nodded and hobbled back towards Ashton.

Once she saw her brother and cried when she explained everything.

————————————————————

Alison ended up being on the team and after she recovered for 6 months she was able to play her first match again.

Still being put as a defender and captain of a team.

"Go front," Louis yelled to Alison and Liv. It was the world cup u17 final and Australia played against France.

They were rewarded a corner in the last minute and it was 3-3.

Shay kicked it and Alison jumped up in order to score a header once again....
