Inter Domainial Competition II

Master Wen Xu accepted the letter based on treating the competition as a test. Zagan, on the other hand, didn't have any expression instead, something dawned on him and he bowed and left the elders with an excuse of allowing them to catch up and the fact that he had not completed his routine. The masters permitted him even though master Shi looked unwilling.

Zagan walked to the back of the temple and took out a paper with something jotted in it. It was a jotting of the letter from his expedition. Although he couldn't bring the letter back with him, he memorized what was written in it and jotted it down in order not to forget. It was a surprise that he even remembered it when he was jotting it down but after he finished writing it, he realized it was in a language he couldn't interpret and it seemed to be half of a torn letter.

Now that he was finally going to the outside world, he figured he might find someone who would be able to translate for him.

A day passed and the day for the inter domanial competition came. Initially, Titan thought it would only be humans that would come but to her surprise, that wasn't the case at all. She was assigned to wait at the gate alongside some other students to usher the competitors in since they were the host. Although the gate was meant to have a repellent force, today, the shield was lifted allowing people to go in freely. While other students were preoccupied with other important things like setting the field and other things.

One of the masters stood at the top of the tower to announce the names of the academy as they came in.

The master at the tower spoke out at the sight of the first academy.

"The soul academy!"

The first batch of beings that came were not too different from humans except for the fact that their skin was blue and their head was bald. She thought she had seen It all until the next batch came.

The master at the tower spoke again, "The kai academy!"

At the gate, they noticed a lot of water was flowing towards their direction but when it got close to the gate, it stopped and splitted into different segments then formed transparent bodies before knocking. Titan was awed. In total, there were seven schools to participate this year because the letter was sent on short notice. In actual fact, twenty-three schools were to compete but unfortunately, most of them couldn't make it because of the distance and timing.

Next up, "The shapeshifters! From the sea."

The third batch was again weird. They looked like jellyfish on land with eight legs. The good part was the fact that they could shapeshift into anything they came in contact with and become whosoever they wanted to be.

It didn't take long before the next academy was announced. "Windbreakers!"

The fourth batch came in a different style. Initially, Titan heard the sound of birds flapping their wings there were hundreds of them. Little did she know that those were another batch of competitors. They were birds...? Titan at last felt relieved. These were easy competitors. Or so she thought. When they landed, outside the gate, Titan noticed they were gone. And only a bunch of grumpy people stood by the gate. She stretched her neck in search of the bird but didn't find any. 'Where could they have gone?' She wondered. The grumpy batch was led in. But when they were halfway from the gate, the master turned.

"Birtle quit playing around!" Then, a hawk walked in slowly. Initially, Titan disregarded its presence until it morphed right in front of her causing her to bat her eyelid. She was startled but didn't really show it.

The morphed hawk turned into a handsome young boy. He stared at Titan and winked. Was he out of his mind? He practically gave her a fright of the universe. Titan was still putting on a male outfit and surely, he couldn't have seen through it. Or is it that he was into boys? Titan's brow rose and her eye twitched.

"Birtle, what are you still doing there?"The master asked with a stern voice.

"Coming." Birtle said in a low yet audible tone then whispered to Titan, "See you on the field." He then reluctantly walked away from Titan.

'What was that?' Titan wondered but in the next moment, she shoved it off.

It took a while before the fifth competitor came. And apparently, they turned out to be the weirdest. They were made of metal and spoke automatically. Very weird indeed.

"From the future, The robotics!"

Noticing Titan's puzzled expression, Zian who also accompanied her at the gate nudged and spoke to her with a smile.

"They are from a different planet. They are not at all friendly."

Titan was shocked and apparently couldn't believe her ears. So these things are actual allies? Cool...!

The sixth competitor came as well but did make a grand entrance. They were dressed in orange robes and had their hair shaved. They were only six in number; the least Titan had seen so far.

"The Shaolin academy!"

They walked in orderly, they possessed a strong aura. Even though they were humans, they were still quite intimidating. As they walked further, A man stopped and asked Zian,

"Child, has an old man and a boy in his early twenties come yet? They are from our academy but they had some errands to run so we were unable to leave at the same time." Zian shook her head in denial. The man let out a sigh.

"Please do let them in once they arrive." He requested. Zian nodded "There's no problem I'll do just that."

He instinctively looked at Titan and wanted to say something but in the end, he said nothing and just left. He felt something odd about that girl but then again, this was normal for him to come across such people on this type of occasion.

Zian didn't dwell long on what happened and just simply focused on the welcoming.

Next was "The stardust academy! From space."

This group was simply amazing! They were made of particles that looked like glittering stardust. Absolutely breathtaking! Titan couldn't help but gawk at them. If they were to be described, they'll be called enchanting.

According to Zian, there were different academies in space and even some hovering around the sun but they couldn't come because of the short notice and sent the stardust to represent them.

After this batch, which was the seventh and last batch, they all exited the gate and went straight to the field.

It took some time and the event was about to begin when Zian suddenly remembered what the man from the Shaolin temple academy requested. She immediately placed the back of her hand on her forehead. How could she have forgotten? And at that moment, she was busy with other things.

Sensing her worry, Titan stared at her in askance. "Titan, I'm sorry I'll have to trouble you a bit. There's still one more guest and unfortunately, I forgot to notify the master at the gate. Surely, by now she would have left the gate and I'm sure those people must have been waiting for a long time. Can you please mix the flour while I go get the gate?"

Titan stared at the bread dough and revealed an expression of, 'You know I know nothing about cooking let alone baking bread.' Zian grew worried. What to do!

On second thought, Titan suggested going fetch the gate.
