First off let’s cover how undophisticated this translation is. There are too many instances where Blake turns into “black” and the names of Will Quake and other characters change into “wiquaker” or something similarly distorted. I question whether the translator simply MTLed it as “Dragon” frequently appears when the correct translation is “Dinosaur.” Let’s not even mention the “Baosaurs” which are presumably Ankylosauruses. There seems to be a clear lack of effort by the translator in my view. Past this point comes the story. The protagonist is a dinosaur with evolutionary capabilities on par with 2016 Shin Godzilla. That protagonist hasn’t really developed in the first 20 chapters but there are still plenty of opportunities for the author to develop him (I’m unwilling to waste my passes on this garbage, even if it’s trashy enough to earn a few chuckles from me). More atrocious are the side characters and the author’s description of them. There was a particularly jarring line describing the body of Garcia; it was unecessary, idiotic, and irrelevant. This is supposed to be a monster evolution story yet we focus on the humans characters more than half the time! The decisions they make are equally idiotic. Why do they say it would not be easy to subdue the dinosaurs because of their advanced weaponry in one line. Then proceed to exclaim that dinosaurs are not to be trifled with in another. Perhaps that is another translation error, but the author/translator (whoever) is clearly trying to paint a picture of American Nationalism, and among other things, stupidity. Characters like Will Quake feel useless since they contribute nothing to the actual story. Even more idiotic is that Arnold fellow who keeps attempting to attack the MC despite the overwhelming disadvantage of size and stength. Are their IQs room temperature? The world is okay but needs a bit more expansion on how they eventually reached their technological prowess, especially the weaponry. I find it really interesting that they had the major Asian powers and America join forces but completely sideline Europe in the exploration of the Cretaceous space. Overall the world is lacking, but still has potential for salvaging. Overall 2-3 stars. It could’ve been 3-4 with a good translation, but that’s obviously too much to ask for.

First off, the translation. I don't even know the name of the protagonist. The synopsis says it's Blake, the first 20 chapters alternate between black, blake, and balke. Then, in the next 20 chapters, his name turns to Blair, then back to black, then to balke. I dropped the book at Chapter 48. I am honestly very impressed with myself for making it that far. The MC (imma refer to him as that because I don't even know his name) is a simp. It might, just might be fine if he was a human, or even a humanoid creature, but he's a T-rex. A big one at that. He is over 50 meters tall and he gets bigger as time progresses. And he becomes a female streamers pet by doing whatever she asks of him. Also, the book is racist. Like, super racist. It narrates a meeting between Japanese higher ups and in every other paragraph the narrator is insulting the decisions they made. It paints the Japanese as idiots, and then almost every single other character in the story laughs at their dumb decisions. It's also super racist against the Chinese with them showing to be the one making almost all the bad decisions. The MC also proceeds to stand in place while people shoot at him, and even encourages that behavior. This part is a bit (just a bit) acceptable, as he evolves further by being damaged more. He is supposed to be super intelligent with this high IQ. But when he evolves and has a mutation, he goes and shows it off to the humans. He also shows the fact that he is intelligent to the humans, and doesn't expect to get attacked, when the whole purpose of the humans there is to research the time/space rift, and his entire being is screaming "DISECT ME!!!" with him showing off his rapid evolution and high intelligence. The president of the USA is also shown to be super respectful to the scientists and is super responsible. Not to be mean, or to get political, but their politicians. Their job is to literally stick their noses in everything and assert their dominance. I have seen too many politicians get involved in things that don't concern them, or something with which they can't help, and they often make things worse. pls don't kill me FBI, just saying. In terms of world building, I am so confused. They don't say anything about the year the modern world is in, or the reaction of people when a literal crack in space/time appears in the sea. The crack was there for at least a hundred years, and they still use weapons we use today as their ultimate weapons. They also appear to be very public with the things they are doing in the crack. I would think they would be a bit more secretive. But they are actually broadcasting it onto the New York Square and all over the world. They even have a camera that films from the inside of the crack that somehow connects to the modern world through space and time. Also, the MC has no goal. Their is literally no reason for him to do anything. He doesn't have a desire to be the strongest, he already was from the first couple chapters. He doesn't desire to go back home other than the first couple chapters, after which it isn't mentioned at all. What he does in the series is eat. The fighting is describe in 3 paragraphs at most, if your lucky. Most of the chapters are just the humans being shocked, him simping for the female streamer, or him making some gourmet food from dinosaur meat. The idea is wonderful and unique. The execution of the idea was terrible. It's like someone has all the ingredients to making a bowl of cereal. A milk and cereal. And they proceed to throw the cereal in the trash. They then let the milk outside of the fridge for a day, pour it on a dirty bowl and call it cereal. That was a terrible example, but I hope you get it. Great ideas, terrible execution.
