When Your Eyes, Filled With Tears

[NOUR]

"Ferhat… help me, please," Nour whispered to no one as he lay on the bed. He had tried to be a good mate, to be the man that was worthy of Grant. He had been a good omega and yet all he ever got was an assault.

He wasn't even sure whether Ferhat would do what he wanted, but he hoped that the man would. Nour was broken and lost. He had been taking omega pills for the past four months since Grant had come from the mission with Alanor.

Those pills made him weak and even worse; they made him smell and act like an omega. It was a tiring thing for Nour, but he loved Grant that much. He had only ever wanted to be loved, to be held but that wasn't going to happen.

At least here, lying in the mix of Grant's cum, sweat, and his own blood, Nour knew that.

"Young master, are you there?" Ferhat knocked on the back door to Grant's house because he didn't want to be seen when Grant had already gone to the palace to meet with the king.

The meeting was one in which Ferhat had never missed, but today, he had to. He had been readying himself for that same meeting when he heard Nour's call. It was soft and sounded defeated, but more than anything, it was a desperate appeal for help.

"Young master?" Ferhat called out again, and when he didn't get an answer he forced the back door open and went to look for Nout. The first thing that hit his nose was the omega scent that was so thick and disturbed.

For a moment there, Ferhat didn't think back to Nour having played the omega role a little too perfectly, if the warrior was being honest, he hadn't seen Nour in the palace for four months. He hadn't even seen Nour outside.

Hell, no one had seen the young prince outside. It was like Nour lived in the enforcer's house day and night without even coming out for a ray of sunshine. Others imagined him to be dead, while others were glad the mouthy omega was shut up.

Of course, there are also speculations of him being pregnant, given omegas had cunts and could bear babies, but then Nour wasn't an omega and he didn't have a cunt, so there's just no way he would ever be able to bear kids, not that they all knew that anyway.

"No… No," Ferhat voiced, his tone going from neutral to a shocked one as he walked deeper into the house and saw the kid he had protected since birth, the kid he had sworn his life to protect laying on the bed, raped and bleeding.

Ferhat didn't even need to think to know who had done this and he let out a low growl, one that was so displeased with all that had happened here. He hated this and he swore to himself that he would make the enforcer pay the price for this.

He would never forgive Grant, even if the young prince decided to do that. But then again, given Nour had learned his lesson after four months of hibernating with the enforcer, there was nothing that would stop him.

Or maybe it was the word that the enforcer had spoken to him that shattered his heart, the words that tore through him and forced him to stay still. The words had rendered him defenseless even though he was a royal wolf who could fight and win.

"No one will want you after I'm done with you. It doesn't matter, even if you reject me. I will always have a new mate, but no one will want the scraps left by a royal enforcer," Grant had said and strangely, a part of Nour believed it.

He had let himself be weak for the sake of love and he had paid the price for it, now he wondered if Delbert would ever want him. Maybe he was hoping for the impossible or maybe he believed those words and that's why he didn't call out for Delbert.

When Grant had come from the mission in the midlands with Alanor, Noru had told Delbert that he was going to give the enforcer another chance, a last one that would determine if Nour killed Grant himself or if Nour gave in to the mate bond.

It wasn't what anyone would want to do and Delbert had been upset. But then again, he was a Lycan warrior who was used to hiding, so he just had to hide his feelings for his erasthai, and the desire to rip Grant's head off himself.

Delbert was dangerous in all the possible ways and Noru knew he would be a murderer in Acrod if Nour didn't try to reason with him. It had been a one-sided bargain and Delbert had hated it.

However, he respected the prince's choice because at the end of the day, his erasthai was always going to be the most important person in his life and he wouldn't lose him for anything.

"You really came?" Nour asked as he closed his eyes and gave in to the darkness.

Ferhat looked at Nour, and he felt the rage he had been holding back for the past ten months come back up. It was all so raw and like he was about to kill anyone and everyone in Acrod. His heart was shared for the kid he should have saved.

"I'll fix this,'' Ferhat said before he wiped the young prince with the blankets that were there. He hated that they had gotten to this point and he hates that this had to happen to Nour. The prince deserved much better even when he was an omega mate.

Done with wiping Nour, Ferhat carried Nour bridal style out of the enforcer's chamber, but not before setting the whole house on fire. He didn't want a trace of this house anywhere and he would do whatever it took to make sure that Nour had no memories of it whatsoever.

With one last look at the burning house, Ferhat created a portal and went through it. He didn't care that there was a high chance that people would look for Nour and all that shit, the only thing that mattered was that the kid was not in there.

Ferhat's portal took them to the palace and more precisely, the prince's chambers. It had been a long time since the boy had come home and hells be damned if Ferhat lost sight of the boy again.

In the distance, Delbert Merdel was watching over the omegas. It was a habit he had picked up because they were the only reminder of who his erasthai had decided to become for whatever reason.

He wanted to learn more about the omegas so that he could know how to act around Noru while he was in his omega state. Today, he was holding on too well as usual, but his heart was bleeding.

He knew his erasthai was in pain as usual and it killed him to not be able to help him out or even do what he needed to do as an erasthai. However, that didn't compare to the pain Delbert felt when Anhora rushed to him while saying the words the eldest Merdel dreaded the most.

"He was in the house when it started burning. He didn't come out… he—"

"Don't you dare finish that sentence," Delbert said as he shifted into his Lycan and rushed to the enforcer's house.

Oh dear... this is going to be interesting
