"Holy shit. I still can't believe they exist." Stu slapped the dining room table as Kendrick's mother cleared the dessert dishes ? Ruth and the other girls in the family giving her a hand.

"Oh, they exist all right. Darned woman-stealing perverts," Joel muttered.

"I told you!" his mother shouted from the kitchen with her impeccable hearing, eavesdropping as usual.

"So what's going to happen to Ruth's sister?" his dad asked.

A sister they were sworn to secrecy about. Kendrick couldn't blame the Moon Ghosts for not wanting the knowledge they could change humans to get out. God only knew what someone with the wrong intentions would do with that little tidbit. Kendrick shrugged. "She keeps saying she's getting a divorce. And their response is to just toss her over a shoulder and make her take it back." He grinned. "I think they might have bitten off more than they expected when they stole her as their jungle freakn' bride."
