If she didn't need it to see and if she wasn't an mc and thus sure to get something nice for it I would say that the increase of variety isn't worth reducing her growth to a third. (and much worse for people that start with three, at least she has a cap of 13 since she started with a single one. ) Also about 6 years with the speed up to catch up. So either something lets her skip ahead or timeskip(s)

Yes, the price is higher than the reward. That's the main theme of this story. Not everyone even reaches the full potential of a Harmoniser. There are some aspects that can speed up this process, but it isn't by much. And yes, the reasons you said is why most of the people focus on one element alone, except some really big Clans that can afford people to have 2 elements. The Royalty have people that can use all four elements, but they have a reason for that which will be said way later in the story. As for Re'Kha, her advantages were nerfed in the earlier run by her master. But, because of his enemies who she has to face in the future, these three elements will give her more of a boost than just having water element alone.

Pete_3019:For solo adventureres that have no choice but be versatile it is one thing or for people using their power daily like healers where regeneration rate is probably more important than max value. But for anyone fighting in a group two single element fighters with double the cap sound better than two dual element ones even if one is weakened by the season. If caps get high enough at some point you can't blow your whole load in a single fight and versatility becomes worth it but with how expensive their techniques are compared to their growth rate that point is rather late. I mean the lowest summon tier is 10 years worth of growth for a dual element person with growth 2. Unless there are synergy effects or the ressouce to upgrade your cap is too limited half the growth is just really extreme. (unless life extension is more common than it seems and planning your growth over centuries becomes important. ) It doesn't take me out of the story and there might be info later that changes things, but currently the price just seems much higher than the reward.
