He heard that they were attacked by the Dark Guild so he hurriedly came here to check on their situation.

He took a glance and noticed that Kuys was cooking something. 

He then shamelessly moved towards them and sat beside Ban. 

He then said in a very natural manner, "Where're the customers?", all the while glancing at what Kuys was cooking. 

Ban explained to him what Kuys had said, in which Mario readily believed. 

Sometime later, the dinner was finally ready. 

Kuys had long discovered Mario's existence. However, he just let him be and allowed him to stay for dinner.
