After the brief introduction, Ban immediately proceeded filling up his basic information in an Adventurers Form.
"That would be 1 Gold and 50 Silver. Or you could also pay using 150 Silver Coins!" Marrie stated as Ban finished filling up the Adventurers Form.
The form is a piece of paper that records the adventurers basic information such as, name, age, gender, and etcetera. It also included the name of their Summoned Monster, and what kind of adventurers they want to be.
The form is also not final as it would still be reviewed.
'Sigh! Another money wasted!' Ban sighs as he sees his last piece of savings landing on Marrie's palm.
The registration fee was actually only the fee needed for the making of the Adventurers Badge. Every Adventurer has it and it is some kind of identity token that could be used everywhere.
"Stella, come here!" Marrie shouted and just as Ban thought that she was calling for another receptionist, a head suddenly emerged under her table.
It was a monkey with a pink ribbon tied on its left ear.
"Oh, this is my monster, Stella. She's a Money Monkey and is very suited in counting coins, especially large ones." She smiled as she gave Stella a pat.
"Here, count this!" Marrie then give the pouch full of Silver that came from Ban towards Stella to count.
Seeing the pouch that was brimming to full, Stella could not help but widen her eyes in surprise.
Stella's eyes went into a coin shape but when she saw the content of the pouch that was all Silvers Coins, she could not help but roll her eyes in disgust.
She then poured all the Silver Coins in Marrie's table before swiping them clean with her two thin and long arms as her eyes went bright with a faint light.
Before five seconds could even pass, her eyes dimmed little by little as she returned the Silver Coins to the pouch before pushing it towards Marrie.
Stella then returned to what she was previously doing earlier under the table. And if Ban saw it, he would surely spurt blood in shame. After all, the Money Monkey was actually playing with Gold Coins all along under the table.
Marrie nodded her head before saying, "There's a total of 156 Silver Coins in this pouch, here's the remaining 6."
Ban was surprised as he did not expect that his calculation was wrong. Even though he saw the disgust in Money Monkey's eyes, he could still not help but feel grateful for her assistance.
Six Silver Coins after all, could already buy 4 or more pieces of bread on Boss Mario's store, depending on the bread's size and its kind.
"Thank you!" He stated while lowering his head as if he was in shame about not counting the coin properly.
However, in truth, Ban was not ashamed at all, even the slightest. His gramps taught him how to read, write and count, but his gramps was not the best teacher in that kind of area. Ban even thought that his gramps was more effective when composing various training methods , rather than teaching him those kinds of stuff.
It was already impressive that Ban learned a lot from his gramps.
"It's alright, it's alright. You're still young so it was understandable. Oh, and I apologize for my Monster's attitude by the way. I don't mean to offend you but, she's just used to counting Gold Coins everyday instead of this low amount of silver."
"I understand!" Ban nodded his head. Her words were true after all. For the receptionist and her Summoned Monster that receives and hands out Quest and their rewards, they must have seen a countless amount of Coin already while working, a mere hundreds of Silver's was already nothing in their eyes.
"Wait for a second while I get your Adventurer's Badge!" Marrie stated as she took the pouch full of silvers along with the Adventurers Form that Ban filled earlier.
Ban could do nothing other than to wait on the counter.
He patted and caressed little Eva who was napping peacefully on his shoulder with a smile.
As he had nothing to do, Ban decided to check the Almighty Summoner System and little Eva's new skills. She got them when she ranked up to F-Apprentice but now that she regressed to being an X-Mortal, he could not help but wonder if the [Skills] was still there.
However, he was not worried that much as he clearly recalled the virtual screen saying about her [Skills] evolving along with her.
At the same time, he also wanted to check the '!' sign in the corner of the virtual screen. It appeared yesterday and due to one thing leading to another, he forgot to check it.
"Uhm… Excuse me!"
A sudden voice suddenly interrupted Ban from what he was doing.
Ban looked around him to search for who was speaking. However, he then shrugged his shoulder when he saw nothing around him except for the Adventurers in the distance.
He then refocused his gaze on the virtual screen again, however, someone spoke again and he clearly heard it this time.
"Uhm… Excuse meee!"
He looked around and scrutinized his brow in confusion. 'Strange! Where did that voice came from?' He thought.
Pak!
"Over here! Dumbass!"
'Ouch!' A sudden pain on his hips suddenly startled Ban as he turned his head down to take a clear look at who it was that slapped him.
A girl with the same height as of that Ban's lower chest could be seen fuming with rage as she stared intensely at Ban.
Ban was taken aback as he did not know that a girl was already standing beside him without him noticing. However, considering how small she is and Ban's height, it was actually understandable.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" She exclaimed upon seeing Ban's gaze that somehow looked like it was looking down on her height.
Ban turned his head away as he scratched his cheek in confusion. 'Just what did I do to anger this little girl?'
"Yes? Can I help you?" Ban stated after he adjusted the state of his eyes.
"Hmmp, that's more like it." The girl crossed her arms on her flat chest before nodding her head as if she was the Boss or something.
However, a while later, she suddenly covered her face as if in shame as she stuttered, "S-sorry! Sorry! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you!"
'Gosh! I even promised Dad that I will behave!' She thought while recalling the action that she did earlier.
However, she reasoned that it was not all her fault as this Silver Haired kid in front of her continued to infuriate her by 'making fun' of her height.
She already called him twice after all and yet he still did notice her as his line of sight did not even bother to look downwards. 'He was definitely doing it deliberately.'
While she was covering her whole face with her hand, she did not know that a certain someone was already eyeing her with a dangerous gaze.
And when she felt the dangerous vibes, it was already too late.
